📋 Description

• • Join Uncountable as a Full-Stack Intern and spend 3–6 months embedded in a product squad that is modernizing how Fortune 500 scientists design, run, and analyze experiments. You will ship production code that is used daily by chemists, material scientists, and R&D managers across chemicals, coatings, batteries, and pharmaceuticals.
• • Own end-to-end features: from white-boarding data models in Postgres, writing performant Flask endpoints, to crafting pixel-perfect React components that render complex scientific visualizations. Your pull requests will be reviewed by senior engineers and merged into the main branch within days, not weeks.
• • Architect a next-generation experiment-management database that supports hierarchical parameters, versioned datasets, and real-time lineage tracking. You will extend our existing schema to capture multi-step synthesis workflows and enable sub-second queries across millions of experimental records.
• • Build new interfaces that let scientists slice, pivot, and visualize experimental data without writing SQL. You will create intuitive drag-and-drop dashboards, interactive charts, and export pipelines that turn raw measurements into actionable insights.
• • Instrument everything: add observability hooks, write unit + integration tests, and configure CI/CD so that every feature you ship is reliable at the scale of global R&D teams. You will help push our test coverage above 90 % and reduce average bug resolution time to <24 h.
• • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX designers, and customer-facing data scientists to translate domain requirements into elegant software. You will join weekly customer calls, gather feedback, and iterate rapidly in two-week sprints.
• • Contribute to our engineering culture by documenting best practices, giving internal tech talks, and mentoring future interns. You will leave with a portfolio of open-source contributions and a recommendation letter from our CTO.
• • Work from our hubs in New York (SoHo), San Francisco (Mission), Munich (near Hauptbahnhof), or London (Shoreditch). Each office provides standing desks, 4K monitors, and fully stocked kitchens. We also offer relocation stipends and visa assistance for exceptional candidates.
• • Earn a competitive stipend of $6,000 per month (or local equivalent), plus housing support in high-cost cities. Interns who exceed expectations are fast-tracked for a return offer as a new-grad Software Engineer with equity and full benefits.
