📋 Description

• Join Velera, the nation’s premier payments credit union service organization (CUSO) and integrated fintech solutions provider, serving over 4,000 financial institutions across North America with innovative financial technology solutions and inspired service.
• As a Full Stack .NET Software Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader on a newly formed Agile product delivery team, designing, building, testing, maintaining, and supporting secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions for payments and related platform capabilities in a regulated environment.
• Work on a mix of new product development, modernization initiatives, and ongoing maintenance using C#/.NET/.NET Core on Azure for backend and TypeScript-based frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js) for frontend, while contributing across backend, APIs, integrations, data, and UI as needed.
• Partner with product, architecture, engineering leadership, and adjacent teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, mentor engineers through code reviews and design collaboration, and help raise team engineering maturity in code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, operational readiness, and secure software development.
• Participate in Agile delivery, support production operations, troubleshooting, on-call needs, and continuous improvement while ensuring solutions align with regulatory, audit, risk, and security expectations.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and delivering production-grade applications.
• Strong experience with .NET/C#/.NET Core and API development, including RESTful APIs and enterprise system integration.
• Experience with modern frontend development, preferably React, and additional modern languages/runtimes such as Node.js/TypeScript.
• Strong database experience with SQL-based databases (Oracle and/or MS SQL), including writing and optimizing SQL.
• Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to iterative delivery, with strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction through collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and help elevate team performance through code reviews, design collaboration, and technical coaching.
