- • Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy for eating disorders and comorbid conditions in a virtual telehealth setting using modalities such as Family-Based Treatment (FBT) and Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E).
- • Maintain a caseload of 30–40 patients, dedicating 20–26 hours per week to direct patient care and the remainder to administrative tasks including documentation and care coordination.
- • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions in alignment with clinical best practices and Equip’s evidence-based treatment protocols.
- • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team including dietitians, physicians, psychiatrists, peer mentors, and family mentors to deliver integrated patient care.
- • Utilize Equip’s electronic medical record (EMR) system for between-session messaging, treatment updates, and secure communication with the care team.
- • Participate in mandatory clinical meetings including Group Supervision, Treatment Huddles, Labs/All Hands, and Individual Supervision.
- • Commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week of availability for direct patient care, including a minimum of 16 hours of direct care after 2 p.m. in your patient care time zone (3 p.m. if in Mountain Standard Time).
- • Work until 8 p.m. on two evenings per week, selecting evenings that align with your patient caseload’s primary time zone.
- • Provide care to patients across the lifespan, including those with varying acuity levels, diverse cultural backgrounds, and co-occurring conditions.
- • Obtain and maintain an active, unrestricted, independent license to practice psychotherapy in your home state and pursue additional state licenses as required by Equip, with all associated fees covered by the company.
- • Engage in initial and ongoing training on evidence-based treatments for eating disorders, including FBT, CBT-E, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for ARFID.
- • Deliver care remotely from home with no travel requirements, using company-provided equipment and secure telehealth platforms.
- • Support patients experiencing suicidal ideation, trauma, and complex mental health needs through trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices.
- • Contribute to a DEIB-focused workplace by upholding Equip’s mission of equitable access to care regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ability, weight, or socio-economic status.
- • Adhere to all Equip policies and procedures regarding documentation, confidentiality, and clinical standards in a fully virtual environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in a U.S. state
- • Ability to provide 30 hours per week of availability for direct patient care, including 16+ hours after 2 p.m. (3 p.m. in Mountain Time) in your patient’s time zone
- • Ability to work until 8 p.m. two evenings per week in your patient care time zone
- • Experience delivering evidence-based treatment for eating disorders in a virtual or clinical setting
- • Strong team collaboration skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary care model
- • Passion for mental health and expanding access to eating disorder treatment
