We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in analyzing, designing, and implementing modernized enterprise processes within complex SAP-centric landscapes, utilizing Tessera's innovative AI-native platform. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between intricate SAP functionalities and the transformative power of AI, driving efficiency, safety, and measurable outcomes for our clients.
• As an SAP Functional Consultant, you will immerse yourself in the intricacies of SAP systems, understanding how they underpin critical business operations. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and meticulously document existing business processes across a wide spectrum of SAP modules, including FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), QM (Quality Management), LE (Logistics Execution), and PM (Plant Maintenance). This deep dive will extend to adjacent enterprise systems, providing a holistic view of the client's operational ecosystem.
• You will be tasked with designing sophisticated solutions that leverage broader SAP components and advanced solutions such as SCM (Supply Chain Management, including APO & IBP), TM (Transportation Management), EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management). A key aspect of this role involves recommending optimized SAP configurations and functional designs that adhere to clean-core principles and robust enterprise governance frameworks, ensuring sustainable and scalable solutions.
• A significant part of your contribution will be leading and supporting SAP S/4HANA migrations. This includes mapping complex data schemas, translating functional requirements into actionable plans, identifying critical gaps in legacy modules or solutions (such as the transition from LE-WM to EWM, or APO to IBP), and actively assisting with data harmonization and custom code adaptation to ensure a seamless transition.
• You will translate insights gained from client workshops and detailed business requirements into comprehensive solution designs. These designs will facilitate seamless integration across SAP ERP (both ECC and S/4HANA), CRM, SCM, and various data platforms. Furthermore, you will be responsible for creating detailed configuration documents and functional specifications for essential WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) objects, ensuring clarity and precision in technical documentation.
• Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with architecture and delivery teams to define end-to-end business processes, such as lead-to-cash, plan-to-fulfill, record-to-report, source-to-pay, and acquire-to-decommission. This includes designing cross-system workflows that span ERP, CRM, SCM, and data platforms, ensuring a cohesive and integrated operational flow.
• You will define and implement robust integration patterns using a variety of technologies, including APIs, BAPIs, IDocs, RFCs, events, and middleware solutions, to enable fluid and efficient enterprise processes. Your expertise will ensure functional feasibility, scalability, and adherence to governance standards across all integrated systems.
• A unique and exciting aspect of this role involves applying Tessera's proprietary multi-agent AI platform to automate critical aspects of enterprise transformation. This includes automating configuration tasks, business workflows, data migration and harmonization processes, code remediation, and other functional processes. You will act as the crucial link between customer business requirements and the technical implementation of the Tessera AI platform.
• You will provide functional guidance and support throughout the implementation lifecycle, including testing, validation, and post-deployment support, ensuring that the deployed solutions deliver tangible business outcomes and meet client expectations.
• Engaging directly with customers is a core component of this position. You will serve as a trusted functional advisor during enterprise transformation programs, conducting workshops, process discovery sessions, and requirements validation with key business stakeholders. Your ability to translate complex technical and functional insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders will be essential.
• You will be expected to travel to customer sites periodically to support solution design, deployment activities, and key project milestones, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring project success.
• Taking ownership of functional solution quality, ensuring alignment with business requirements, and upholding enterprise governance standards are paramount. You will contribute to the development and refinement of internal best practices for SAP functional consulting and process modernization, sharing your knowledge and expertise with the wider team.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-7 years of SAP functional consulting or ERP business process experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA functional configuration.
• Proven ability to map business requirements to ERP systems and integrations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (primarily U.S.).
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migrations or large-scale ECC modernization programs (Preferred).
• Background in ERP-adjacent platforms, enterprise integration, or process automation (Preferred).
