đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Funding Specialist at Forward Financing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of small businesses across America by ensuring their access to crucial working capital. You will be the linchpin in the funding process, meticulously overseeing and advancing deals through every stage of the funding funnel. Your primary objective will be to maintain the momentum of these critical transactions, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to identify and eliminate bottlenecks with speed and precision.
  • • Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with our valued Channel Partners, specifically Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs). You will be the primary point of contact for ISO sales representatives and decision-makers, communicating effectively to facilitate the funding of opportunities. This requires a deep understanding of their needs and the ability to navigate complex deal structures to ensure successful outcomes.
  • • A key aspect of this role is proactively engaging with ISO sales representatives to identify and pursue opportunities to win deals, even when they require exceptions to standard deal terms. This proactive approach demonstrates your commitment to finding solutions and your ability to think critically and creatively to overcome obstacles, ensuring that more small businesses can access the capital they need.
  • • Delivering exceptional customer service to our ISO partners is paramount. You will take ownership of resolving issues, building strong relationships based on trust, and instilling a sense of urgency within a fast-paced, transactional sales environment. Your ability to manage challenging conversations and objections with professionalism and empathy will be crucial in maintaining strong partnerships and fostering loyalty.
  • • You will work hand-in-hand with our underwriting team to drive profitable volume. This involves effectively managing the flow of deal requirements, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is submitted accurately and promptly. Your organizational skills will be essential in keeping the sales pipeline moving efficiently and preventing delays that could impact funding timelines.
  • • Problem-solving is at the core of this role. You will collaborate with various internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our operational efficiency and customer experience. Your insights and suggestions will be valued as we strive for excellence in all aspects of our business.
  • • Acting with urgency is a non-negotiable requirement. You will be expected to provide timely responses to all requests, both from internal stakeholders and external partners. This commitment to promptness ensures that deals progress smoothly and that our partners feel supported and valued throughout the funding process.
  • • You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the small business financing sector, learning the intricacies of what makes Forward Financing a leader in the industry. This includes appreciating our core values of reputation, transparency, speed, and, most importantly, our people-centric approach. You will become an expert in our products and services, enabling you to effectively guide partners and contribute to the company's mission.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to our mission-driven company. By facilitating access to capital for small businesses, you will be empowering entrepreneurs and supporting economic growth. You will be part of a team that believes in saying “yes” when others say “no,” providing vital financial support to businesses that have often been underserved by traditional financing options.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer-focused mindset, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the proven ability to manage a high-volume, fast-moving sales cycle. You should be a proactive, analytical individual capable of thriving in a dynamic environment and consistently achieving monthly sales goals. Your dedication to excellence and your passion for helping small businesses succeed will be key drivers of your success in this role.
  • • You will be instrumental in maintaining the operational rhythm of the funding team, ensuring that deals progress seamlessly from application to funding. This requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to anticipating needs, and the ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic, remote-first environment. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to serve a growing base of small business clients and uphold our reputation for speed and reliability.
  • • Furthermore, you will be a key player in fostering strong, collaborative relationships with our ISO partners. This involves not only processing their deals efficiently but also acting as a trusted advisor, understanding their business needs, and providing solutions that align with Forward Financing's offerings. Your ability to build rapport and communicate complex financial concepts clearly will be essential in nurturing these vital partnerships and driving mutual success.

  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • • Proactive, with excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
