📋 Description

• Manage daily foreign exchange trading activities to secure optimal FX spreads with partner banks and liquidity providers, ensuring competitive rates for end users.
• Monitor and analyze daily FX exposure across multiple currencies and execute trades to minimize costs and mitigate market risk.
• Design and implement hedging strategies to protect against currency volatility and safeguard treasury liquidity.
• Oversee backend treasury operations including daily reconciliations, cross-border settlement flows, and resolution of payment exceptions across multiple banking partners and PSPs.
• Coordinate with finance teams to support cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and treasury positioning across seven on-chain and fiat currencies.
• Ensure all FX and treasury operations comply with regulatory standards by collaborating closely with compliance teams and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
• Identify, assess, and propose mitigation measures for FX, liquidity, and operational risks within treasury and settlement workflows.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance FX rate engines, settlement automation tools, and backend operational systems.
• Define, document, and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for treasury and foreign exchange operations to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Continuously improve the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of settlement processes across SEPA, SWIFT, and on-chain rails.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners, custodians, and liquidity providers to optimize terms, capacity, and service levels.
• Track key performance metrics related to FX cost savings, settlement success rates, and operational downtime to drive data-informed improvements.
• Support the expansion of treasury infrastructure as the company scales across four continents and serves 240,000+ active accounts.
• Ensure seamless integration of treasury operations with UR’s modular financial infrastructure, including IBANs, Mastercard rails, and programmable compliance layers.
• Act as the primary operational owner for treasury workflows, bridging finance, compliance, product, and engineering functions.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in FX trading, treasury operations, or payments treasury within a bank, fintech, or PSP environment
• Demonstrated hands-on experience managing daily treasury reconciliations, settlement flows, and cross-border payment mechanics
• Solid understanding of FX markets, liquidity providers, and regulatory frameworks governing cross-border financial operations
• Proven ability to work with banking partners, custodians, and payment service providers to optimize terms and execution
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive FX cost optimization and operational efficiency
• Experience building or improving SOPs and operational systems for treasury and settlement processes
