- • Record daily accounting transactions including purchases, sales, and bank activities, ensuring accurate and timely entries across multiple entities in France and internationally.
- • Support accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes by managing invoicing, payments, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
- • Perform regular reconciliation of general ledger accounts and accounting entries to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
- • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings by preparing documentation for balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
- • Prepare and submit VAT returns and income tax filings in compliance with French tax regulations and deadlines.
- • Support internal and external financial audits by gathering, organizing, and providing required financial documentation and explanations.
- • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and implement process optimizations using digital tools and automation.
- • Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and Apprentice Accountant to ensure seamless execution of accounting tasks across global entities.
- • Work cross-functionally with HR, Sales, and Marketing teams to align financial tracking with operational activities and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- • Utilize accounting software such as Odoo and Pennylane to manage financial records and streamline reporting.
- • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
- • Proactively explore and apply AI tools to enhance efficiency in routine accounting tasks and reduce manual errors.
- • Adhere strictly to French accounting standards (PCG) in all financial reporting and documentation practices.
- • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, organizational discipline, and analytical rigor in all accounting responsibilities.
- • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting innovative solutions to enhance compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in finance operations.
- • Participate in twice-yearly in-person gatherings for team collaboration and cultural alignment across global locations.
- • Operate within a remote-first environment with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance and personal productivity.
- • Use company-provided equipment of choice to ensure optimal performance in a fully remote setup.
🎯 Requirements
- • Degree in Accounting or Finance (DCG, DSCG, Master’s degree, or equivalent)
- • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a fast-growing company or scale-up environment
- • Strong knowledge of French accounting standards (PCG)
- • Fluency in French and professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- • Familiarity with accounting software such as Odoo and Pennylane
- • Proficiency in Excel and proactive use of AI tools for accounting tasks
