• • Own the critical sanitation and prep cycle that starts before sunrise and ends after the last late-shift meal. You will sweep, mop, degrease, and sanitize every surface in the kitchen and dining hall, ensuring we consistently exceed provincial health-code scores and maintain our COR safety certification.
• • Master industrial dish-pit operations: scrape, rack, wash, and polish hundreds of plates, pots, sheet pans, and utensils per service while monitoring water temperature, chemical levels, and cycle times to guarantee zero cross-contamination.
• • Execute deep-clean rotations on ovens, grills, walk-in coolers, and slicers using eco-friendly degreasers and color-coded tools, logging every task on our digital QA checklist so auditors can trace your work in real time.
• • Rotate and restock grab-and-go coolers with fresh sandwiches, parfaits, and fruit cups that miners grab between shifts; your eye for FIFO rotation prevents waste and keeps our food-cost targets under 28%.
• • Become the go-to inventory runner: unload weekly reefer trucks in -30 °C weather, scan barcodes into our SAP system, and haul 50-lb cases to designated dry, cold, and freezer storage zones while wearing full PPE.
• • Jump in on prep line during peak rushes: portion pizza toppings, assemble salad kits, and wrap burritos so the cooks can keep serving times under four minutes from ticket to plate.
• • Champion safety culture by spotting slip hazards, reporting faulty equipment, and coaching new hires on knife-handling and lifting techniques—your vigilance keeps our TRIR at zero year after year.
