đź“‹ Description
- • As the General Manager of Babylist’s Columbus, Ohio fulfillment center, you will serve as the senior operational leader responsible for end-to-end site performance, safety, service, cost, and culture — acting as the critical link between Babylist’s mission to support growing families and the physical execution of delivering products with precision and care. This role is not merely managerial; it is a hands-on, accountable leadership position where you will shape the operational blueprint for future Babylist fulfillment sites by establishing scalable systems, documenting best practices, and driving continuous improvement in a high-growth environment.
- • You will lead a dynamic, multi-shift operation of 300+ associates, owning full P&L accountability while implementing labor models, capacity plans, and productivity roadmaps that support projected volume growth of 20–50%+. Your day-to-day will involve floor-based leadership — walking the facility 10,000+ steps daily, observing processes, coaching shift leaders in real time, and using data from WMS, labor management systems, and KPI dashboards to diagnose issues and drive accountability. You will establish daily, weekly, and monthly business reviews to create rhythm and transparency, ensuring alignment across safety, quality, service, and cost metrics while maintaining compliance with OSHA standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- • You will partner closely with Supply Chain, Finance, and corporate teams to align on network expansion priorities, resource needs, and operational execution, contributing directly to playbook development and site replication strategy as Columbus becomes the model for future Babylist fulfillment centers. Your leadership will be defined by humility, curiosity, and presence — earning trust through consistent follow-through, developing Operations Managers and frontline leaders via structured coaching and succession planning, and building a resilient, inclusive, high-performance culture where people are empowered to excel.
- • In this role, you will achieve measurable impact by eliminating throughput constraints through standardized work and lean practices, improving output per labor hour, and leading operational upgrades without disrupting service levels. You will build bench strength across leadership levels, address performance gaps decisively yet constructively, and create leadership development plans that elevate frontline talent. Beyond operational excellence, you will help Babylist scale its mission — ensuring that every package shipped from Columbus reflects the care, reliability, and innovation that millions of families rely on, while growing your own expertise in AI-enabled operations, large-scale transformation, and network strategy in a mission-driven, remote-first company that values intentional work and human connection.
