- • Vultr is at the forefront of cloud infrastructure innovation, empowering enterprises and AI pioneers globally with accessible, high-performance solutions. With a network of 32 data centers spanning the globe, we are the trusted partner for hundreds of thousands of customers in 185 countries, offering robust Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, Bare Metal, and Cloud Storage. Our recent $3.5 billion valuation in December 2024 underscores our rapid growth and market leadership, built on a foundation of self-funding and a decade of industry expertise. As the world's largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company, Vultr is committed to excellence, innovation, and the success of our team.
- • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Accounts Payable Lead to join our dynamic and fast-growing organization. This is a pivotal, highly visible role where you will have the opportunity to significantly impact Vultr's financial operations and contribute to our continued expansion in the cloud infrastructure sector. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our global accounts payable processes.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of Accounts Payable (AP) functions, demanding meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach. You will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of complex invoices, including those related to inventory, capital expenditures, and project-based billing. This includes ensuring accurate General Ledger (GL) coding and classification for all expenses, and performing essential monthly or periodic AP-related GL account reconciliations, such as the AP sub-ledger to GL and accrued expenses.
- • Maintaining the integrity of our vendor master file is a critical aspect of this role. You will oversee the vendor setup process, ensuring all necessary documentation (W-9s, W-8s, banking details) is collected and compliant, and that ongoing updates are managed effectively to prevent fraud and maintain data accuracy. You will also provide essential functional guidance and workflow coordination for AP Analysts and Senior AP Analysts, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) on AP processes, policies, and systems. Your leadership will extend to supporting the onboarding, training, and mentoring of team members, as well as assisting management with workload balancing and coverage planning to ensure seamless operations.
- • Payment execution is another key area of focus. You will manage and execute weekly payment runs, utilizing various methods such as ACH, wire transfers, checks, and virtual cards, across multiple banking platforms and diverse geographical entities. This requires a strong understanding of cash management principles and the ability to coordinate payments efficiently and accurately.
- • Compliance and reporting are paramount. You will coordinate and execute all Accounts Payable month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring all deadlines are met and that necessary accruals are properly recorded. A significant part of your role will involve overseeing the preparation and submission of annual 1099 forms, or equivalent regulatory reporting for our international entities, ensuring strict adherence to IRS and other relevant regulations. Furthermore, you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing comprehensive documentation and clear explanations of our AP processes and internal controls.
- • Vendor relations and issue resolution will also be a key part of your day-to-day. You will act as the primary escalation point for complex or contentious vendor issues, statement discrepancies, and other payment-related challenges, driving timely and professional resolutions. Maintaining strong working relationships with internal departments, including Sourcing, Operations, and Legal, will be crucial for efficiently resolving invoice and receiving discrepancies. Your ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively will be essential in navigating these interdepartmental interactions.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and refine AP processes within a rapidly scaling global technology company. If you are a detail-oriented, process-driven professional with a passion for financial accuracy and operational excellence, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of Vultr's continued success.
