📋 Description
- • Lead the implementation and management of global employee relations (ER) workflows to ensure consistent, scalable practices across all international jurisdictions while reinforcing Optro’s high-performance culture.
- • Manage end-to-end investigations and performance cases, providing specialized support to People Business Partners (PBPs) to ensure fair, legally compliant, and consistent outcomes across regions.
- • Maintain deep expertise in labor laws across key operating regions, including UK grievance and disciplinary procedures, EMEA Works Council consultation processes, and California-specific employment regulations.
- • Support Optro’s expansion into new international markets by applying ER and labor law knowledge to localize policies and practices while maintaining global standards.
- • Analyze ER data to identify emerging trends, proactively anticipate workplace issues, and recommend preventive actions before they escalate into formal disputes or legal exposure.
- • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to design and deliver training for managers on ER best practices, performance management, and region-specific compliance requirements.
- • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and People Business Partners on complex, sensitive employee relations matters, balancing legal risk with cultural impact and organizational values.
- • Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders across global teams.
- • Deliver difficult feedback and coaching to managers and employees with empathy, discretion, and objectivity, ensuring alignment with company standards and legal obligations.
- • Operate with high autonomy as a strategic partner to global leadership, ensuring employee relations practices scale in integrity as the company grows into new markets.
- • Uphold Optro’s core values—customer obsession, gritty resilience, drive innovation, win together, and growth mindset—through every employee relations interaction and policy decision.
- • Ensure all ER activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including adherence to the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and California Fair Chance Act.
- • Handle access to highly sensitive data, including employee records, company financials, and proprietary product information, with the highest standards of confidentiality and data security.
- • Contribute to the development of ER metrics and reporting frameworks to measure effectiveness, reduce risk, and improve employee experience globally.
- • Partner with legal, compliance, and HR operations teams to align ER practices with broader organizational goals and regulatory landscapes.
- • Support the creation and maintenance of ER playbooks, templates, and documentation that standardize processes across regions and reduce variability in case handling.
- • Promote a culture of psychological safety and fairness by modeling transparent, respectful, and equitable practices in all employee relations engagements.
- • Participate in company-wide initiatives, including employee resource groups and team get-togethers, to reinforce a unified global culture.
- • Ensure all ER activities are documented accurately and securely in accordance with company policies and data protection standards.
