- • As a Global Expense Specialist at Pebl Technologies Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring compliant, accurate, and timely expense management across 30+ countries, directly supporting the company’s mission to enable seamless global hiring and operations. Your work will safeguard financial integrity, reduce compliance risk, and empower employees worldwide to submit and receive reimbursements with confidence.
- • You will manage the full lifecycle of high-volume expense claims, including verification of receipts, documentation, currency conversions, and tax treatments (such as VAT/GST), ensuring alignment with local regulations, employee contracts, and Pebl’s internal policies across diverse jurisdictions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include approving compliant expenses, returning non-compliant submissions with clear, actionable feedback, identifying and flagging policy violations, duplicate claims, or potential fraud, and maintaining meticulous records of all approvals and rejections for audit readiness.
- • You will accurately enter and post approved expenses into Pebl’s accounting systems—ensuring proper GL coding, documentation, and reconciliation—while supporting continuous process improvement by analyzing expense data, identifying inefficiencies, and driving automation and policy clarification initiatives.
- • Serving as a trusted point of contact, you will respond to employee and customer inquiries about expense policies with patience, clarity, and cultural sensitivity, acting as a bridge between global talent and financial operations.
- • You will collaborate with the Payroll and Expense team, reporting to the Director of Payroll Operations, Network and Expense, to standardize procedures, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting visibility to support audit readiness and scalability.

🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience managing global expense management, payroll, or general ledger postings across multiple countries and currencies.
- • Proven experience using expense management platforms (e.g., Expensify) and enterprise accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite) in a professional setting.
- • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (especially Gemini and Sheets) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and process automation.
- • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policy nuances clearly to employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
- • Demonstrated organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and independent problem-solving ability in high-volume, detail-oriented environments.
- • Familiarity with international tax treatments (VAT/GST), local compliance requirements, and expense policy enforcement in multinational contexts.
