  • • As the Global Head of Renewals at Ashby Inc., you will lead and scale a critical post-sales function responsible for driving Net Revenue Retention (NRR) across all customer segments, ensuring predictable renewal outcomes while maintaining pricing discipline and delivering a transparent, principled commercial experience. This senior, revenue-critical role reports directly to the VP of Customer Success and operates with significant executive visibility, making it pivotal to Ashby’s continued growth and customer trust.
  • • You will lead and scale a centralized global Contract Management team, growing from 6 to 9 members within the next quarter and targeting ~15+ within 12 months, by hiring, coaching, and developing managers and individual contributors, refining role definitions, performance standards, and career paths while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and principled decision-making tied directly to NRR, GRR, forecast accuracy, and pricing discipline.
  • • You will own global renewal outcomes across all customer segments, including retention, seat growth, and expansion at renewal, with NRR as the primary success metric, ensuring renewals are executed consistently and predictably, aligned with long-term customer and business value, while partnering closely with Sales to coordinate expansion opportunities such as upgrades across pricing tiers (e.g., Plus to Enterprise).
  • • You will evolve commercial policy and pricing discipline by partnering with Revenue Operations, Finance, Contract Strategy, and Sales to maintain high standards in pricing guardrails, discounting frameworks, and approval workflows, ensuring consistency and rigor in commercial decisions while enabling thoughtful flexibility when warranted, upholding Ashby’s strong pricing discipline as the company scales upmarket.
  • • You will enable enterprise renewals by overseeing complex renewal motions — including multi-year agreements, procurement-heavy renewals, and custom MSAs — in close partnership with Legal, ensuring the team can confidently lead enterprise renewal negotiations involving procurement processes, non-standard terms, and executive stakeholder alignment.
  • • You will surface renewal insights that inform go-to-market strategy, pricing decisions, and customer lifecycle improvements, building scalable renewal processes cross-functionally that support Ashby’s growth while maintaining a high-quality commercial experience, and partnering closely across Customer Success, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations to build the systems, processes, and team required to support an increasingly sophisticated customer base.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience owning renewals, retention, and Net Revenue Retention (NRR) in a scaling B2B SaaS environment, ideally at Series D or beyond, including leadership of Account Management, Renewals, or Contract Management teams.
  • • Demonstrated success in hiring, coaching, and driving performance management — comfortable setting high bars, delivering direct feedback, and cultivating excellence in leaders and individual contributors.
  • • Strong systems-thinking mindset with experience building scalable commercial frameworks, processes, and tooling that support predictable renewal forecasting and cross-functional alignment.
  • • Proven ability to excel in cross-functional partnerships, particularly with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations, while maintaining clear ownership boundaries and strategic influence.
  • • Ability to balance customer empathy with business rigor, believing great commercial experiences are transparent, principled, and fair, especially in complex enterprise renewal motions involving multi-year agreements, custom MSAs, and procurement-heavy negotiations.
