- • Lead the strategic development and implementation of company-wide reliability standards and maintenance programs for critical facilities, with a specialized focus on ensuring the integrity of temperature-controlled environments essential for medication storage and other sensitive operations.
- • Champion the establishment and enforcement of robust maintenance protocols across heating, cooling, refrigeration, electrical, and building control systems, ensuring strict adherence to all applicable safety regulations, industry best practices, and equipment manufacturer requirements.
- • Conduct comprehensive reviews of maintenance records and lead rigorous audits, both on-site and virtually, to verify that all facilities consistently meet and exceed approved operational standards and regulatory compliance.
- • Proactively identify and assess potential risks and operational issues within building systems through detailed inspections and data analysis, developing mitigation strategies to prevent failures and ensure continuous operation.
- • Drive the development and implementation of stringent building design standards for all new construction projects and significant upgrades, ensuring that reliability, efficiency, and safety are paramount considerations from conception through completion.
- • Meticulously review engineering plans, equipment specifications, and technical documentation for renovations, replacements, and new installations, providing expert technical guidance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of building systems.
- • Contribute to long-term strategic planning by identifying aging infrastructure, potential obsolescence, and emerging reliability risks, developing proactive replacement and upgrade strategies to maintain operational excellence.
- • Oversee and guide the team responsible for managing sophisticated building automation systems (BAS), ensuring accurate monitoring of critical parameters such as temperature and alarms, and leveraging BAS data for performance optimization and predictive maintenance.
- • Ensure the unwavering safety and integrity of temperature-sensitive medications through meticulous monitoring, alarm management, and validation of refrigeration and cold chain systems, directly contributing to patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- • Implement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall system performance, improving energy efficiency across facilities, and advancing early detection capabilities for potential equipment failures and operational anomalies.
- • Conduct regular, in-depth building reliability reviews, synthesizing complex technical findings into clear, concise, and actionable reports that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence within the reliability team and across facility management staff through effective training, coaching, and mentorship.
- • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practice guides to support consistent and high-quality facility operations across the global portfolio.
- • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts, findings, and recommendations to a diverse audience, including senior leadership, operational teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and operations, to ensure integrated facility management strategies that support the broader business objectives and risk management framework.
- • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting critical facilities management and reliability engineering, incorporating relevant advancements into company standards and practices.
- • Manage vendor relationships and performance for critical maintenance and reliability services, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to contractual obligations.
- • Develop and manage the operational budget for the reliability engineering function, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control while maintaining high standards of performance.
- • Act as a subject matter expert for building systems reliability, providing guidance and support to project teams, facility managers, and other stakeholders as needed.
- • Champion a proactive and preventative maintenance mindset throughout the organization, shifting from reactive problem-solving to strategic asset management and risk mitigation.
- • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations pertaining to building operations and maintenance.
- • Contribute to the development and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plans as they relate to critical facility infrastructure.
- • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance building system reliability, performance, and sustainability.
