- • Own end-to-end Google Ads strategy and execution for Viktor, including Search, Performance Max, and YouTube campaigns — from keyword architecture to bid optimization and asset group management.
- • Design and maintain rigorous negative keyword hygiene and match-type discipline to maximize conversion efficiency and minimize wasteful spend.
- • Directly manage landing page and conversion path experiments in parallel with ad campaigns, ensuring alignment between ad messaging and post-click experience to improve Quality Score and pipeline conversion.
- • Establish and enforce a weekly experimentation cadence with clear hypotheses, documented outcomes, and compounding learnings across ad creatives, audiences, and landing pages.
- • Build and scale a living library of high-converting keywords, audience segments, and ad copy assets — documenting patterns and optimizing for scalability and reproducibility.
- • Own full-channel measurement and attribution: implement enhanced conversions, configure offline conversion imports, and interpret conversion modeling to distinguish platform noise from genuine performance signals.
- • Report weekly on key metrics: Google Ads spend, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and qualified pipeline contribution — prioritizing actionable data over vanity metrics like impression share or CTR.
- • Partner directly with the Head of Performance Marketing on budget allocation and channel prioritization, challenging assumptions when data indicates Google is not the optimal channel for a given goal.
- • Operate as a solo channel owner without agency support — executing all tactical and strategic work independently using AI tools (e.g., Claude) for ad copy iteration, search term analysis, and performance reporting.
- • Maintain a founder mentality: building Google Ads as a scalable acquisition channel from the ground up, not inheriting a mature program.
- • Create a documented, repeatable playbook for Google Ads that enables future team expansion — including a hiring rubric for a potential second channel owner.
- • Audit and eliminate inefficient spending within the first 30 days: kill bad match types, fix broken tracking, and clean up conversion attribution.
- • Restructure campaign architecture and lock bidding strategies to pipeline goals by day 60, ensuring CAC trends are visible and aligned with company-wide KPIs.
- • By day 90, establish Google Ads as a predictable, scalable acquisition channel with a functioning landing page experimentation loop and documented processes.
- • Engage daily with Google Ads interface and BI tools — relying on direct data interpretation over third-party reports or vendor summaries.
- • Work in close collaboration with the Head of Performance Marketing, bringing data-driven insights to cross-channel conversations and pushing back when strategy misaligns with performance evidence.
- • Use AI-native workflows daily: leverage tools like Claude to automate ad copy variations, analyze search term reports, and generate performance summaries.
- • Operate remotely with full-time overlap with EU business hours; NYC-based candidates are considered secondary.
- • Ship high-impact work within the first week — no approval chains, no stakeholder syncs — decisions are owned and executed by the individual responsible.
- • Use Viktor to build Viktor: experience the product’s value firsthand as you optimize its acquisition channel.
🎯 Requirements
- • Senior-level Google Ads expertise with proven ownership of B2B SaaS or AI product acquisition channels
- • Demonstrated experience managing significant Google Ads budgets and driving measurable pipeline and CAC outcomes
- • Hands-on experience with end-to-end conversion paths — including landing page optimization and conversion tracking implementation
- • Proven track record of documented, weekly experimentation in paid media with clear results and iteration cycles
- • Comfort and proficiency in using AI tools (e.g., Claude) as core parts of daily workflow for ad copy, analysis, and reporting
- • Strong operator mentality: executing daily in Google Ads, not delegating or managing from afar
