- • The Growth and Retention Account Manager drives new business development and long-term customer retention in the K–12 education space, balancing hunter and farmer mindsets to expand territory impact.
- • Day to day, the role involves owning territory planning, identifying and engaging new prospects through data-driven outreach, managing customer relationships across multiple stakeholders, conducting deep discovery, leading pilots, preparing renewal and upsell proposals, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure customer success.
- • The team operates within Cambium Learning Group’s Remote First culture, supporting Lexia Learning’s mission to create opportunity for every student through literacy, with a focus on building trusted partnerships with district leaders.
- • In this role, the individual can develop strategic account management expertise, deepen knowledge of the K–12 edtech landscape, master complex sales cycles in education, and grow as a trusted advisor influencing long-term educational outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- • Proven track record of 2-5+ years of success in both new business development and account management roles
- • Experience within the education technology or services space, literacy/reading products highly preferred
- • Excellent understanding of the K–12 education landscape, including funding, leadership structures, and instructional priorities
- • Proficient user of CRM (Salesforce), MS Office and Google Suites, video conferencing software and other technology-based productivity tools
