📋 Description

  • Are you a data-driven growth marketing maestro, passionate about propelling high-growth companies to new heights? Scale Army Careers is seeking a world-class Growth Marketing Lead to join a dynamic team that powers some of the world's fastest-growing companies, including industry disruptors like Perplexity, Cursor, and Superhuman. This is a unique opportunity to partner closely with venture-backed, product-led businesses, tackling their most complex growth challenges head-on. You won't just be managing campaigns; you'll be architecting and executing strategies that drive significant, measurable impact.
  • As a Growth Marketing Lead, you will be entrusted with the full ownership and strategic direction of a portfolio of high-spend, complex client accounts. This role demands end-to-end accountability, encompassing everything from meticulous goal setting and expert media buying to insightful creative direction, rigorous experimentation, and transparent performance reporting. You will be the primary point of contact, collaborating directly with founders and senior marketing leaders, acting as a trusted advisor and execution powerhouse.
  • Your core mission will be to diagnose performance challenges, conceptualize innovative strategic solutions, and execute them with precision and autonomy. You will own the complete growth funnel, from initial acquisition through to user activation, with a keen focus on critical business metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and payback periods, and a direct impact on pipeline generation, moving beyond simple Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
  • You will be instrumental in identifying untapped opportunities for expansion into new marketing channels, building robust, data-driven cases to justify and guide these growth initiatives. A key part of your role will involve developing and meticulously maintaining sophisticated pacing models and accurate budget forecasts, ensuring optimal resource allocation and predictable performance.
  • Hands-on campaign management across major platforms like Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and LinkedIn will be a significant component of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to explore and leverage additional platforms as dictated by client needs and strategic opportunities.
  • A critical aspect of this role is the ability to perform deep-dive analyses of accounts at both macro and micro levels. This includes evaluating campaign structures, dissecting ad groups, scrutinizing keywords and search terms, assessing creative effectiveness, and ensuring alignment with overarching goal attainment.
  • You will be responsible for proposing and executing high-impact experiments, guiding them from initial hypothesis formulation through to meticulous implementation and insightful performance readout. This involves proactive keyword research, strategic bid target adjustments, directing creative development efforts, and ensuring the seamless implementation of all proposed changes.
  • You will leverage the client's proprietary internal platform, a sophisticated toolset enabling advanced capabilities. This includes automated budget and conversion pacing, granular sub-channel performance monitoring, robust experiment tracking with statistical analysis, AI-powered account analysis, and sophisticated attribution modeling that directly connects ad spend to real pipeline generation. Your feedback will be invaluable in the ongoing improvement and evolution of this platform.
  • Beyond campaign execution, you will actively direct creative output, including the writing and editing of compelling ad copy. You will provide clear, strategic direction on landing page structure, the hierarchy of messaging, and the overall visual strategy, treating ads and landing pages as an integrated performance system.
  • Applying conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles to enhance user journeys and improve outcomes will be a continuous focus. You will be expected to write detailed weekly performance updates, providing comprehensive account overviews, clear summaries of experiment results, actionable next steps, and insightful key questions for discussion.
  • You will interface directly with founders and marketing leaders via Zoom and Slack, demonstrating a deep understanding of their priorities and proposing thoughtful, compelling, and data-backed solutions. You will report into the Head of Accounts and collaborate closely with the CEO, contributing to the strategic direction of the agency. As the practice grows, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior analysts, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
  • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-velocity environments, possesses a high ownership mindset with low ego, and demonstrates rigorous problem-solving abilities. A passion for leveraging tools, dashboards, proprietary software, and a commitment to the continuous optimization of systems and processes are essential for success.
  • Success in this role means achieving full contextual mastery of assigned accounts within the first month, including understanding campaign structures, client priorities, and key growth opportunities. Within 60 days, you should be independently owning strategy, experimentation, creative direction, and client communication. By 90 days, you should be recognized by clients as an indispensable partner to their growth, a testament to your impact and dedication.
  • This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to work with category-defining companies, solve complex growth challenges without an established playbook, and operate with significant autonomy. You'll push the boundaries of paid growth using cutting-edge technology, high-velocity experimentation, and creative rigor, growing alongside an elite, performance-driven team.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven experience managing $1M+ per month in combined ad spend across Google Ads and Meta, with direct, hands-on responsibility.
  • Demonstrated history of designing and executing experiments that drove significant performance improvements.
  • Experience connecting ad spend to downstream business outcomes, including attribution modeling, CRM integration (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and pipeline reporting.
  • Deep expertise in Google Ads and Meta, including campaign types, ad formats, targeting options, bidding strategies, and platform levers.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for client-facing interactions and reporting.
  • Experience marketing technical products, B2B SaaS, or developer-focused companies is strongly preferred.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Fully Remote (Work from Home) position.
  • Opportunity to work with category-defining, venture-backed companies.
  • Collaborate directly with founders and executive leadership.
  • Operate with significant autonomy and ownership.
  • Access to proprietary software and cutting-edge growth marketing tools.
  • Chance to push the boundaries of paid growth with high-velocity experimentation and creative rigor.
