- • Lead and scale OpenAI’s cybersecurity go-to-market (GTM) organization, designing specialist sales motions, executive engagement strategies, and technical customer coverage models tailored to enterprise security buyers.
- • Build and develop senior sales leaders and frontline managers across the cybersecurity business, raising standards for execution, talent development, and operational rigor across multiple layers of leadership.
- • Establish a high-accountability operating model with disciplined pipeline reviews, forecasting cadences, performance inspection routines, and talent development systems that scale with organizational growth.
- • Own the end-to-end cybersecurity GTM strategy, including market segmentation, account prioritization, coverage design, partner ecosystem strategy, and investment allocation across sales channels.
- • Define how OpenAI engages CISOs, security executives, and technical decision-makers, building credibility and trust in complex enterprise environments with high sensitivity to governance, compliance, and risk.
- • Shape OpenAI’s cybersecurity narrative and thought leadership strategy by partnering with marketing, field teams, and executives to elevate OpenAI’s presence and authority within the global security community.
- • Drive execution on complex enterprise opportunities involving multi-stakeholder buying committees, including security, compliance, legal, procurement, and C-suite decision-makers.
- • Apply deep pattern recognition in cybersecurity sales motions to guide teams through technical evaluations, implementation challenges, governance requirements, and competitive dynamics.
- • Partner closely with Product, Security, Research, and Solutions teams to influence roadmap priorities, product packaging, and customer-facing strategy based on direct market feedback and customer needs.
- • Build repeatable commercial frameworks for securing AI adoption, managing model risk, and operationalizing AI responsibly within enterprise environments across regulated industries.
- • Develop strategic partnerships with technical ecosystem stakeholders including security systems integrators, advisory firms, and platform partners to extend OpenAI’s reach and credibility.
- • Establish clear collaboration models across pre-sales, post-sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless customer progression from evaluation to production deployment of AI systems.
- • Create scalable commercial engagement models that align customer needs for secure AI adoption with OpenAI’s long-term growth objectives and platform consumption dynamics.
- • Maintain strong executive presence and credibility with CISOs, CIOs, security architects, and technical leaders, articulating the business and security value of OpenAI’s AI platforms in enterprise contexts.
- • Operate with high standards and low ego, influencing cross-functionally across engineering, policy, legal, and research teams to align GTM strategy with technical realities and market demands.
- • Navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving environment to build structure, clarity, and repeatable processes for a highly technical, trust-sensitive, and rapidly evolving cybersecurity market.
🎯 Requirements
- • 15–20 years of experience leading enterprise sales or go-to-market organizations with significant senior leadership experience at scale
- • Deep expertise in cybersecurity sales, GTM strategy, or technical security organizations, including direct experience selling into or partnering with CISOs and enterprise security teams
- • Proven ability to build and scale complex enterprise cybersecurity businesses in cloud, platform, infrastructure, or AI-driven technology environments
- • Strong leadership capabilities managing through multiple layers of leadership and developing senior sales and technical leaders
- • Demonstrated success in designing and executing consultative, long-cycle, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales motions involving security, compliance, and governance
- • Strong executive presence and credibility with CISOs, CIOs, security architects, and technical decision-makers
