  • • OpenAI is seeking a highly organized and strategic GTM Onboarding Program Manager to establish and optimize the operational backbone for our global go-to-market (GTM) organization. This pivotal role is designed for an individual passionate about translating product innovation into tangible customer impact by equipping our customer-facing teams with the essential knowledge, tools, and frameworks they need to excel.
  • • In 2026, OpenAI is poised for significant growth, anticipating the onboarding of a substantial volume of new customer-facing employees across critical functions such as sales, technical success, partnerships, and customer success. While an onboarding program framework already exists, this position will be instrumental in its day-to-day operation, strategic scaling, and continuous enhancement, ensuring the system that underpins it is robust and efficient.
  • • The GTM Onboarding Program Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of onboarding operations. This includes meticulously coordinating new hire cohorts, fostering alignment among diverse stakeholders, evolving the program's structure to meet dynamic business needs, and ensuring that new employees ramp up quickly, confidently, and effectively.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves modernizing the onboarding experience through the implementation of AI-first workflows, leveraging data-driven insights for iterative improvements, and building scalable systems designed to minimize operational burden while simultaneously elevating the learning experience for all participants.
  • • This role is based in our San Francisco office and requires close collaboration with leaders and teams across Sales, Technical Success, Product Enablement, Recruiting, and Revenue Operations, demanding strong cross-functional communication and partnership skills.
  • • Key responsibilities will encompass running the operational cadence of GTM onboarding programs, managing diverse roles and hiring cohorts with precision. You will translate complex hiring forecasts and critical business priorities into structured, actionable onboarding execution plans.
  • • The role involves managing all onboarding logistics, including intricate scheduling, clear and timely communications, tracking certifications, and coordinating with a multitude of stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
  • • You will partner closely with subject matter experts from Product, Sales, and Technical Success teams to ensure onboarding content remains current, accurately reflecting evolving products, features, and messaging.
  • • A significant focus will be on designing and implementing scalable systems and processes that can effectively support high-volume onboarding initiatives without compromising the quality of the learning experience.
  • • You will be at the forefront of implementing AI-forward approaches to streamline onboarding operations and enhance the overall learner experience, seeking innovative solutions to traditional challenges.
  • • Establishing and rigorously tracking key onboarding success metrics will be crucial. This includes monitoring participation rates, identifying readiness signals, and measuring ramp indicators to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • • Continuous improvement will be a core tenet of this role, driven by feedback from the field, adaptation to business changes, and the demands of scaling hiring efforts.
  • • Ideal candidates will possess a natural inclination for transforming complex programs into repeatable, scalable systems. Experience operating GTM onboarding or enablement programs within fast-growing technology companies is highly valued.
  • • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently without sacrificing attention to detail are essential. Clear, concise communication and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders across various teams and hierarchical levels are paramount.
  • • A systems-thinking mindset, focusing on process and long-term solutions rather than ad-hoc fixes, will be critical for success. Curiosity and creativity in applying AI tools to enhance workflows and learning experiences are highly encouraged.
  • • Comfort operating in dynamic environments where priorities, products, and hiring needs evolve rapidly is a must, requiring adaptability and resilience.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the foundational experience of OpenAI's customer-facing talent, directly contributing to the company's mission and growth.
