Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Be the warm first impression and steady heartbeat of our award-winning Snow Lake, Manitoba remote camp as a Guest Services Agent. In this permanent, full-time role you will greet up to 400 fly-in workers, technicians, and executives each rotation, ensuring every arrival feels like a homecoming and every departure leaves a lasting positive memory.
  • • Own the entire guest journey—from the moment a helicopter touches down to the final check-out. You will assign rooms, program key cards, and personally escort guests through orientation covering camp rules, emergency procedures, Wi-Fi codes, and dining schedules. Your confident, friendly voice becomes the soundtrack of their stay.
  • • Act as the 24/7 information hub: field questions on everything from laundry hours to the fastest hiking trail, transmit urgent messages between departments, and broadcast daily weather and safety bulletins. When a blizzard grounds flights or a medical evacuation is required, your calm, accurate communication keeps 500+ stakeholders informed and safe.
  • • Manage a real-time reservation system that juggles crew changes, last-minute VIP arrivals, and weather delays without missing a beat. You will confirm, modify, and cancel bookings, then update occupancy dashboards used by catering, housekeeping, and logistics teams to optimize staffing and supplies.
  • • Generate and distribute weekly billing packages—meticulously reconciling room nights, meal counts, satellite-phone usage, and incidentals—then email encrypted charge sheets to corporate clients across North America. Accuracy here protects millions in annual revenue and cements client trust.
  • • Curate the Lost & Found vault: log, photograph, and secure everything from prescription glasses to diamond-studded watches. When a frantic guest messages at 2 a.m. about a missing passport, you’ll already have flagged it, arranged courier pickup, and sent tracking details before breakfast.
  • • Champion our safety culture by conducting daily facility walk-throughs, spotting trip hazards, and ensuring fire exits remain unobstructed. You will file near-miss reports in our digital safety portal and lead five-minute tailgate talks during shift change, turning compliance into a shared habit.
  • • Elevate the guest experience through micro-moments: surprise a crew celebrating a milestone birthday with a custom banner, coordinate a pop-up nacho bar during the Stanley Cup finals, or arrange a quiet video-call room for a father attending his daughter’s graduation remotely.
  • • Provide high-touch administrative support to the Lodge Manager: build Excel dashboards tracking occupancy trends, craft Outlook communications to head office, and proofread safety JSA documents. Your attention to detail frees leadership to focus on strategic expansion and client relations.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with chefs, housekeepers, maintenance, and pilots. When a dietary restriction appears on the manifest, you alert culinary; when a guest reports a leaky faucet, you dispatch maintenance with a photo and room number—closing the loop with a follow-up text.
  • • Collect and analyze guest feedback cards, online reviews, and verbal comments, then translate insights into action. Perhaps the 5 a.m. coffee line is too long—your data-driven suggestion to open a satellite kiosk can boost satisfaction scores and reduce labor costs.
  • • Maintain the pristine appearance of the reception lounge, bulletin boards, and coffee station. A spotless welcome area sets the tone for the entire camp and reinforces our reputation as the employer-of-choice for remote workforce accommodation across Canada.
  • • Embrace the 21-days-on / 7-days-off rotation (10-hour days) as a lifestyle that maximizes earning potential while delivering extended off-duty periods perfect for travel, education, or family time. Transportation from Winnipeg, Thompson, Flin Flon, or The Pas is provided, so your journey to and from site is seamless and safe.
