  • • Support Handshake AI’s growing talent pipeline by reviewing and evaluating resumes of Fellows applying for AI project opportunities, ensuring alignment with client requirements and internal standards.
  • • Assess candidate qualifications, experience, and transferable skills to determine fit for specific AI-focused roles, maintaining consistent and accurate evaluations across high-volume candidate submissions.
  • • Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders including engineers, scientists, and operations teams to interpret project needs and match Fellows to the most appropriate opportunities.
  • • Manage end-to-end candidate screening processes using Google Suite tools, including detailed documentation in spreadsheets and coordinated communication via Docs and Gmail.
  • • Maintain high standards of organization and attention to detail when processing large volumes of applications daily, ensuring no candidate is overlooked or misclassified.
  • • Provide clear, concise recommendations on candidate suitability based on project-specific criteria, including technical competencies, prior experience, and adaptability to AI research environments.
  • • Work within a fast-paced, remote environment with tight deadlines, adapting quickly to evolving project demands and shifting priority areas across AI labs and Fortune 500 partners.
  • • Contribute to operational improvements by identifying inefficiencies in candidate review workflows and suggesting actionable enhancements to increase screening accuracy and throughput.
  • • Act as a key liaison between Handshake’s Fellows and external clients, ensuring seamless communication and accurate representation of candidate profiles and project expectations.
  • • Ensure all candidate evaluations adhere to company standards for fairness, consistency, and data integrity, supporting Handshake’s mission to provide equitable career pathways in the AI economy.
  • • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive candidate information and project-specific client requirements.
  • • Participate in regular feedback loops with hiring teams to refine evaluation criteria and improve match quality over time.
  • • Independently manage a dynamic pipeline of candidate applications with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet weekly volume targets.
  • • Demonstrate proactive communication by flagging potential mismatches, inconsistencies, or urgent hiring needs to internal teams in a timely manner.
  • • Contribute to a culture of collaboration by sharing insights gained from reviewing diverse resumes across industries and functional areas to inform broader talent strategy.
