📋 Description

• • Define the long-term technical vision and strategy for all AI capabilities across the Asteri platform, ensuring every model, pipeline, and agentic workflow is purpose-built for enterprise-grade reliability, explainability, and measurable business impact.
• • Architect and continuously evolve Asteri’s LLM-based systems—including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multi-step agentic workflows, and dynamic prompt orchestration—so that large enterprises can safely integrate AI alongside human teams without compromising security, compliance, or performance.
• • Establish rigorous standards for AI quality, safety, and observability in production; create repeatable evaluation frameworks and dashboards that track accuracy, latency, cost, and user trust in real time, and use these insights to drive weekly improvements.
• • Partner hand-in-hand with the VP of Engineering to translate cutting-edge research into robust, scalable services; jointly own the roadmap that balances rapid innovation with rock-solid reliability, ensuring every new AI feature can be deployed, monitored, and rolled back with confidence.
• • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and feedback loops that ingest millions of enterprise events, enrich them with contextual knowledge, and surface actionable insights to end-users within seconds.
• • Make high-leverage technical decisions on model selection (open-source vs. proprietary), fine-tuning vs. prompt engineering, routing strategies, caching layers, and cost-performance tradeoffs—always grounding choices in quantifiable customer value.
• • Hire, mentor, and scale a world-class AI team of applied researchers, ML engineers, and prompt specialists; foster a culture of experimentation, code quality, and customer empathy while maintaining a flat, high-trust environment.
• • Stay at the forefront of applied AI by monitoring academic research, open-source releases, and emerging tooling; rapidly prototype promising techniques and shepherd the most impactful ones into production within quarterly release cycles.
• • Represent Asteri in strategic customer conversations, translating complex AI behavior into clear, jargon-free explanations that build executive trust and accelerate enterprise adoption.
• • Champion a safety-first mindset: institute red-team exercises, bias audits, and incident-response playbooks so that every AI capability is resilient to adversarial inputs, data drift, and unexpected edge cases.
• • Drive cross-functional alignment by presenting monthly AI health reports to Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, ensuring every stakeholder understands current capabilities, known limitations, and upcoming investments.
