📋 Description

  • As the Head of BDR at Incident Technologies, Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping and scaling our global outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) engine, a critical function that serves as the initial touchpoint for many of our potential customers. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact team within a rapidly growing, AI-powered incident response platform that is already trusted by industry giants like Netflix, Airbnb, and Block.
  • You will inherit and evolve a BDR function with significant momentum, including existing teams in both the US and UK, and be tasked with driving substantial growth – aiming for doubling-plus expansion in the coming year. Your role will be to elevate our BDR strategy from a proven foundation to a world-class operation, focusing on both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to own the end-to-end outbound pipeline generation strategy. This includes refining and developing playbooks, cadences, and processes to support aggressive growth targets. You will also oversee inbound lead qualification, ensuring that every opportunity is assessed effectively and passed to the sales team with the right context.
  • A core aspect of your role will be the coaching and development of a high-performing global team. You will implement rigorous call review processes, provide targeted pipeline coaching, and conduct regular one-on-one meetings designed to measurably improve individual rep performance. This involves not only nurturing existing talent but also actively recruiting, developing, and retaining top BDRs across both the US and UK, cultivating a culture that champions excellence, continuous improvement, and career progression.
  • You will be expected to maintain and enforce best-in-class activity rigor. This means setting clear, actionable activity standards for the team and establishing the necessary reporting infrastructure to meticulously track these metrics. Initially, you will be hands-on as the first-line manager for the US team, leading stand-ups and closely monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) until the organization scales to a point where a dedicated first-line leader can be appointed.
  • A forward-thinking, AI-first mindset is crucial for this role. You will be responsible for evaluating, deploying, and iterating on AI tools and automation solutions that significantly enhance BDR productivity. This encompasses the entire workflow, from prospecting and personalization to email sequencing and data analytics, ensuring our team leverages cutting-edge technology to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You will lead the BDR team to consistently exceed Sales Qualified Opportunity (SQO) targets. This involves creating robust reporting infrastructure to provide clear visibility into performance and delivering actionable feedback to ensure the team's success is tightly aligned with broader company growth objectives.
  • This position requires a leader who can blend strategic thinking with operational excellence. You will be responsible for developing the global outbound BD strategy, fostering strong partnerships with the Marketing team, and ensuring seamless collaboration between BDRs and the Account Executive (AE) team.
  • You will play a pivotal role in defining the future of outbound sales development at Incident.io, leveraging your experience to build a scalable, efficient, and highly effective pipeline generation machine. Your success will directly contribute to the company's ambitious growth trajectory and its mission to revolutionize incident response for businesses worldwide.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the sales development landscape, coupled with a passion for coaching and a proven ability to implement innovative technologies. You will be a key player in our go-to-market strategy, driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence.
  • This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be empowered to build, innovate, and lead, contributing directly to the success of a company at the forefront of AI-driven solutions for critical business operations.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven track record developing and scaling global, outbound-oriented BDR organizations across multiple geographies through rapid growth phases, demonstrating strong, experience-based perspectives.
  • Exceptional coaching ability, with a demonstrable history of developing individual reps and improving their performance through structured coaching frameworks and tangible results.
  • Demonstrated experience in actively deploying and iterating on AI and automation tools within BDR or sales development functions, with concrete examples of built solutions and their delivered outcomes.
  • A collaborative-achiever mentality, comfortable being hands-on as a first-line manager while simultaneously setting global strategy and direction.
  • Commitment to activity rigor and operational discipline, including experience creating metrics frameworks, dashboards, and accountability cadences for consistent outbound execution.
  • Success in high-growth environments, with experience operating through periods of doubling-or-more growth and understanding the challenges of maintaining quality and culture during rapid scaling.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Market-leading private medical insurance
  • Generous parental leave
  • First Friday of the month off
  • Generous annual leave/PTO allowance
  • Competitive salary and equity
  • Remote working and personal development budget
  • Enhanced pension/401k
