- • As Head of Commercial Strategy for Mind at Sword Health, you will serve as the strategic architect and external voice of the company’s AI-powered mental health solution, directly influencing how the product is perceived and adopted by health plans, self-insured employers, brokers, consultants, and platform partners. This role is pivotal in establishing Mind as the unambiguous category leader in a crowded market by defining its positioning, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market narrative — ensuring the product wins not just on features, but on strategic superiority against entrenched incumbents like Lyra, Spring Health, Modern Health, Headspace, and traditional EAP providers.
- • You will work in close partnership with the General Manager to translate market insights into actionable commercial strategy, driving pipeline generation and market intelligence without carrying a quota or managing a team. Your impact will be measured by your ability to shape perception, influence product evolution, and equip internal teams with the proof points, relationships, and market intelligence needed to win at north of 75–80% win rates in competitive deals.
- • Day to day, you will: develop and refine Mind’s commercial narrative and positioning framework tailored to distinct buyer personas across the healthcare ecosystem; conduct deep competitive analysis to identify gaps and advantages versus incumbent solutions; synthesize clinical outcomes, utilization data, and ROI metrics into compelling, evidence-based sales enablement materials; partner with product, marketing, and sales teams to align roadmap priorities with market needs and ensure product evolution reflects real-world buyer expectations; build and maintain relationships with key influencers, brokers, consultants, and platform partners to expand Mind’s reach and credibility; lead the creation of go-to-market playbooks for new segments and verticals; represent Mind at industry events, webinars, and executive briefings as the primary external spokesperson; and establish a commercial intelligence function that continuously monitors market shifts, payer policies, and emerging trends to inform strategic decisions.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in commercial strategy, product marketing, or go-to-market leadership within healthcare technology, digital health, or enterprise SaaS — preferably with a focus on mental health, EAPs, or employer-sponsored benefits.
- • Demonstrated ability to translate complex clinical and technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions for C-suite, procurement, and benefits decision-makers at large health plans and self-insured employers.
- • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data, clinical outcomes, ROI models, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy and influence product development.
- • Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, with a track record of delivering persuasive presentations, executive briefings, and thought leadership content to external audiences.
- • Established network or ability to rapidly build credibility with key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem, including brokers, consultants, TPAs, and platform partners.
- • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in healthcare, business, or public health preferred.
