- • Lead the integrated Finance & Accounting function as Head of Finance reporting directly to the CFO, owning FP&A, accounting, controllership, and operational accounting to build a scalable finance organization that supports Tonal’s growth and strategic decision-making.
- • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CFO, CEO, and C-suite by driving financial planning, performance analysis, investment evaluation, and risk/opportunity identification while ensuring financial discipline and data integrity across the business.
- • Own the design and delivery of financial narratives for the Board, executive team, and investors; manage the corporate finance calendar; and lead long-range planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling with dynamic reforecasting capabilities.
- • Oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, and operational accounting to ensure GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and a strong internal-control environment; lead system modernization, automation of manual processes, and AI-assisted reporting to support channel expansion into healthcare and B2B.
- • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performance finance team across FP&A and accounting; define the organizational roadmap for talent, systems, and processes; and build a pipeline of future finance leaders while fostering a culture of financial rigor and continuous improvement.
- • Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, data science, manufacturing, supply chain, business technology, and engineering teams on decision support, investment prioritization, internal controls, and business-process reengineering to translate complex financial data into clear guidance for leadership and investors.
- • Build trust with C-suite and board members through executive presence, persuasive communication, and the ability to operate at both strategic altitude and detailed levels, driving sustainable growth through informed capital allocation and trade-off analysis.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred.
- • 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience spanning FP&A and accounting/controllership, including senior leadership at Director/Senior Director level or equivalent.
- • Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing finance teams through significant organizational change and growth.
- • Strong command of FP&A and accounting (revenue recognition, inventory, reserves), financial modeling, scenario analysis, and BI tools.
- • Hands-on experience modernizing finance systems and automating manual processes; comfort applying AI tooling to reporting and analysis.
- • Proven ability to build trust with C-suite members and boards, with executive presence to influence at the highest levels.
