- • Lead the global accounting function for Emma Matratzen GmbH, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial oversight across all international operations.
- • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, manage general ledger, coordinate audits, and ensure adherence to IFRS and local GAAP standards across 35+ countries.
- • Partner with finance, tax, treasury, and business units to drive process improvements, implement automation, and support scalable financial systems as the company expands globally.
- • Build and mentor a high-performing global accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and cross-border collaboration aligned with Emma’s values of ownership and innovation.
- • Provide actionable financial insights to leadership to support strategic decisions on market entry, pricing, cost optimization, and investment prioritization.
- • Champion financial integrity and transparency, reinforcing Emma’s reputation as a trusted, data-driven D2C sleep brand operating at global scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification with 10+ years of progressive experience in global or multinational accounting roles.
- • Deep expertise in IFRS, local GAAP (particularly in EMEA, APAC, and Americas), and experience managing multi-entity consolidations.
- • Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
- • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and financial automation tools; experience with BlackLine or similar close management platforms preferred.
- • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance leaders and influence strategic outcomes.
- • Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., German, Spanish, or Mandarin) are a plus given Emma’s global footprint.
