Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As Head of Government Strategy & Partnerships at BrainCo Inc., you will lead the development and execution of the company’s public sector vertical, driving the adoption of applied AI solutions in government institutions worldwide. This role is critical to scaling BrainCo’s impact by transforming early AI pilots into large-scale, repeatable deployments that modernize essential public services such as permitting, benefits administration, and regulatory workflows.
  • • You will define BrainCo’s government strategy by identifying high-impact operational workflows across state, local, and federal institutions, then design and implement go-to-market approaches that convert pilot programs into sustainable, scalable engagements. Your work will directly contribute to unlocking efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service delivery for millions of citizens.
  • • Day to day, you will build and nurture relationships with senior government leaders, policy makers, and agency heads, engaging them through strategic outreach, partnership development, and tailored presentations that align BrainCo’s AI capabilities with institutional priorities and pain points.
  • • You will navigate complex government procurement, contracting, and regulatory processes, structuring pilot programs and deployment agreements that comply with public sector requirements while accelerating timelines and reducing friction for technology adoption.
  • • In close collaboration with product, engineering, and data science teams, you will translate real-world government operational needs into actionable product requirements, ensuring that BrainCo’s AI systems are designed to solve actual workflow challenges and deliver measurable outcomes in live environments.
  • • You will develop ecosystem partnerships with national government associations, policy networks, and civic institutions to create multiplier effects that accelerate adoption across jurisdictions and establish BrainCo as a trusted advisor in public sector innovation.
  • • As a builder in a fast-moving startup, you will help shape the long-term vision for BrainCo’s expansion into regulated industries, contributing to thought leadership, market positioning, and strategic planning that positions the company as a go-to partner for governments seeking to modernize with AI.
  • • You will operate with significant autonomy and impact, reporting directly to senior leadership including COO Marne Levine, and have the opportunity to build a high-performing government team from the ground up, defining processes, hiring talent, and establishing best practices for public sector engagement.
  • • This role offers the chance to work on mission-driven projects with tangible societal impact—such as reducing permitting delays by 80% or cutting administrative burdens in healthcare by 80%—while gaining deep expertise in applied AI, government operations, and institutional transformation at the forefront of public sector innovation.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in government relations, public sector sales, policy advisory, or institutional partnerships, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior government officials at state, local, or federal levels.
  • • Deep understanding of government procurement, contracting, and regulatory processes, including experience navigating complex acquisition frameworks and compliance requirements in public sector environments.
  • • Background in technology, operations, or consulting with a track record of selling, implementing, or advising on technology solutions within government or highly regulated industries.
  • • Strong strategic thinking and deal-making skills, with experience defining go-to-market strategies, structuring pilot programs, and scaling early engagements into enterprise-wide deployments.
  • • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of translating technical concepts into clear value propositions for non-technical government stakeholders and influencing decision-makers across organizational levels.
  • • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments, with the ability to act as a builder—combining strategy, execution, and relationship management to create new business verticals from scratch.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive compensation package including base salary, equity participation, and performance-based incentives aligned with company and individual goals.
  • • Fully remote work flexibility with the ability to collaborate across time zones, supported by regular travel expectations to government partner sites and BrainCo offices for in-person engagement.
  • • Opportunity to work alongside a world-class team of AI experts from Tesla, Google DeepMind, NVIDIA, and Databricks, contributing to meaningful projects that have already delivered hundreds of millions in value and improved outcomes for critical public systems.
  • • Access to cutting-edge AI technology and direct involvement in shaping how frontier AI is applied to solve real-world institutional challenges in government, healthcare, and infrastructure.
  • • Professional growth in a high-impact role at a rapidly scaling Series A startup backed by prominent Silicon Valley investors, offering visibility, autonomy, and the chance to help define a new category in public sector AI adoption.
