📋 Description

• Binance is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Market Supervision to lead our market integrity and regulatory compliance efforts within the dynamic UAE market, specifically based in Abu Dhabi. This pivotal role is instrumental in safeguarding Binance's reputation and ensuring adherence to the highest standards of market conduct and regulatory frameworks. As the Head of Market Supervision, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing robust strategies to prevent market abuse, detect manipulative trading practices, and foster a transparent and fair trading environment for our vast user base.
• You will be responsible for establishing and overseeing comprehensive surveillance systems, employing cutting-edge technology and data analytics to monitor trading activities across various asset classes. This includes identifying patterns indicative of insider trading, wash trading, spoofing, layering, and other illicit behaviors. Your proactive approach will involve developing and refining detection models, setting alert thresholds, and ensuring timely and thorough investigations into any suspicious activities.
• A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with internal teams, including Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, and Technology, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to market supervision. You will also serve as a primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies within the UAE, building and maintaining strong relationships to facilitate open communication and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• The Head of Market Supervision will play a critical role in shaping Binance's market integrity policies and procedures. This includes staying abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes, industry best practices, and emerging risks in the digital asset space. You will be tasked with translating these insights into actionable strategies and operational guidelines that reinforce Binance's commitment to a secure and trustworthy ecosystem.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in market surveillance, financial crime investigations, regulatory compliance, or a related field within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on trading activities and market abuse detection.
• Deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and the unique regulatory challenges and opportunities within the digital asset space.
• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing market surveillance systems and programs, including the use of advanced data analytics and technology tools for detecting market manipulation.
• Strong knowledge of relevant UAE financial regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, and market conduct rules applicable to digital assets and exchanges.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw sound conclusions.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams, senior management, regulatory bodies, and law enforcement agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFA) are highly desirable.
