- • Own the local marketing strategy for Mali, fully aligned with business growth targets, market expansion priorities, and brand ambition.
- • Serve as the strategic marketing partner to the General Manager and functional leads including Operations, Sales, Support, and Product teams.
- • Lead comprehensive marketing planning, including budget allocation, resource management, and ROI accountability for all marketing activities in Mali.
- • Collaborate closely with the global marketing team to ensure alignment between local market initiatives and global growth, product, and brand strategies.
- • Lead end-to-end full-funnel marketing campaigns across ATL (Above the Line), BTL (Below the Line), and Social Media channels in Mali.
- • Develop clear, actionable processes and documentation to guide cross-functional teams from campaign ideation through deployment and evaluation.
- • Conduct and lead market intelligence efforts including consumer insights, competitive analysis, brand health tracking, and channel performance measurement.
- • Drive sustainable growth by translating market data into actionable marketing plans that directly impact user acquisition, revenue, and market share.
- • Manage and supervise a local marketing team, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight.
- • Ensure all marketing activities comply with local regulations and cultural norms while maintaining brand consistency across markets.
- • Negotiate and secure high-impact partnerships with media outlets, influencers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to amplify reach and impact.
- • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, using business and financial data to inform decisions—not just marketing KPIs.
- • Operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels, maintaining clarity and focus while managing multiple priorities.
- • Influence senior cross-functional stakeholders to align diverse teams behind a shared vision for market growth and brand positioning.
- • Anticipate market shifts and adapt marketing strategies quickly in response to changing economic, regulatory, or consumer behavior trends.
- • Embrace innovation by testing new approaches, learning from failure, and iterating rapidly to improve campaign effectiveness.
- • Demonstrate tenacity and persistence in executing marketing initiatives, ensuring delivery even under challenging operational conditions.
- • Travel upcountry in Mali approximately once per month to support field campaigns, partner engagements, and market insights gathering.
🎯 Requirements
- • Degree in marketing, communication, sales, business development, or management
- • At least 12 years of marketing experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles with team management and budget ownership
- • Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-channel marketing strategies with measurable commercial impact
- • Experience managing significant marketing budgets and demonstrating strong ROI discipline
- • Fluency in both French and English
