  • • As the Founding Head of People at Numeral SAS, you will design, build, and lead the People function from the ground up during a critical phase of rapid growth, translating company strategy into a scalable People roadmap while preserving the high-performance culture that drove early success.
  • • You will own end-to-end recruiting strategy across engineering, product, GTM, and operations, build durable recruiting infrastructure (ATS, interviewer training, structured interviews), and ensure hiring quality scales with volume without compromising speed or standards.
  • • You will design and implement Numeral’s first formal compensation philosophy and pay bands, build performance management from scratch (goal-setting, reviews, calibration), and introduce clear role definitions, leveling, and career paths across functions in partnership with Finance.
  • • You will enable first-time and experienced managers through core expectations around hiring, feedback, and development, establish cultural operating principles that reinforce accountability and trust, and support leadership through sensitive people situations with discretion and judgment.
  • • You will professionalize People Ops for a global workforce (U.S. and international contractors), own HR policies and handbooks, partner with Legal and Finance on compliance, and implement and optimize HRIS, payroll, benefits, and performance tools to scale smoothly.
  • • You will partner closely with the executive team as a trusted advisor, translate ARR targets into People initiatives, and build a scalable People org over time—starting lean and hands-on—while establishing operating cadence around headcount planning, workforce mix, and organizational design.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of People leadership experience, with significant time in high-growth startups
  • • Prior experience as a first or early Head of People, or a senior People leader who has built functions from scratch
  • • Deep experience scaling teams rapidly (2–4x headcount) at the Series A–C stage
  • • Strong command of recruiting, compensation, performance management, and People Ops—not just one area
  • • Proven ability to partner with executives and influence without bureaucracy
  • • Exceptional communicator: clear, direct, pragmatic, and credible with senior leaders
