📋 Description
- • Own the end-to-end HR function globally across BJAK’s operations in Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, the UK, and the US, covering both on-site and remote teams.
- • Personally lead and support critical hiring across technical, commercial, and corporate roles, ensuring quality, speed, and consistency in recruitment across all regions.
- • Partner directly with founders and senior leaders on organisation design, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
- • Build and operate simple, practical, and actively used performance management, feedback, and development frameworks that drive accountability and growth.
- • Drive employee engagement initiatives that reinforce alignment, retention, and execution while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy and administrative overhead.
- • Act as a hands-on HR Business Partner to senior leaders and managers, providing direct support on day-to-day people decisions, performance issues, and organisational changes.
- • Own global payroll, compensation, benefits, and employment structures, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance across all jurisdictions.
- • Manage HR compliance, employment contracts, policies, and statutory requirements across multiple countries, coordinating with external advisors or EORs as needed.
- • Design and continuously improve HR processes and systems that scale with the business without introducing delays or inefficiencies.
- • Build, mentor, and lead a small, high-quality HR team over time, fostering a culture of high ownership, execution, and operational excellence.
- • Operate in a flat, fast-moving, high-growth environment where all team members are expected to be hands-on and contribute directly to the company’s mission.
- • Ensure HR practices are aligned with BJAK’s mission of creating efficient, positive societal impact through superior application platforms and AI-integrated solutions.
- • Maintain direct involvement in complex people matters, including conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and cultural alignment across diverse international teams.
- • Balance strategic HR planning with hands-on execution, avoiding purely policy-driven approaches in favor of practical, actionable solutions.
- • Work closely with engineering and product teams to understand talent needs and ensure HR initiatives support technical and product excellence.
- • Continuously refine HR systems to support a globally distributed workforce without compromising speed, fairness, or compliance.
