📋 Description
- • Own the end-to-end HR function globally across BJAK’s teams in Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, the UK, and the US, covering both on-site and remote employees.
- • Personally lead and support critical hiring across technical, commercial, and corporate roles, ensuring quality, speed, and consistency in recruitment across all regions.
- • Partner directly with founders and senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
- • Build and operate practical, lightweight performance management and feedback frameworks that are actively used by managers and drive employee growth.
- • Drive employee engagement initiatives focused on alignment, retention, and execution, while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy and administrative overhead.
- • Act as a hands-on HR Business Partner for senior leaders and managers, providing direct support on day-to-day people issues, performance concerns, and organizational changes.
- • Own global payroll, compensation, benefits, and employment structures, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and compliance across all jurisdictions.
- • Manage HR compliance, employment contracts, and statutory requirements across multiple countries, coordinating with external advisors or EORs as needed.
- • Design and continuously improve HR processes and systems to scale with the business without introducing delays or complexity.
- • Build, mentor, and lead a small, high-performing HR team over time, fostering a culture of high ownership, execution, and operational excellence.
- • Operate in a flat, fast-moving organization where all members are expected to be hands-on and contribute directly to the company’s mission of building superior application platforms with AI integration.
- • Support the scaling of HR infrastructure in a high-growth environment, balancing strategic vision with practical, on-the-ground execution.
- • Work closely with engineering and product teams to understand technical hiring needs and align talent strategy with product roadmap and business goals.
- • Ensure HR practices are culturally sensitive and legally compliant across diverse international markets while maintaining consistent global standards.
- • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex people matters, including restructuring, conflict resolution, and organizational transitions.
- • Maintain a bias for action — solving problems directly rather than delegating or delaying execution.
- • Contribute to the company’s mission by enabling efficient, human-centered operations that support global growth and societal impact.
