- • As Head of Product and Engineering at Apollo Information Systems, you will be the founding technical leader responsible for building and launching the company’s proprietary cybersecurity platform from the ground up, with no legacy code or existing team to inherit—giving you full ownership to shape the product, architecture, and delivery strategy in alignment with Apollo’s mission to deliver unified, outcome-driven security programs.
- • You will define the product vision, select and manage external development partners, establish cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, oversee secure software development practices, and drive the adoption of AI coding tools and agent-based automation across internal operations—ensuring the platform is robust, multi-tenant, extensible, and compliant with industry standards.
- • Apollo is a fast-growing, Series A-backed cybersecurity-as-a-service provider with deep expertise in election security, serving state and local government, K-12 and higher education, and mid-market enterprises, operating with a remote-first culture and a collaborative hub in Denver where integrity, entrepreneurial drive, and client partnership are core values.
- • You will have the unique opportunity to build a founding engineering legacy—shipping production-quality software, establishing internal AI strategy and tooling, deploying AI agents across company operations, and bringing a market-ready platform to life while working directly with leadership, clients, and vendors in a high-impact, autonomous role.
- • Within 90 days, you’ll refine the MVP scope and select an outsourced development partner; by 180 days, you’ll have architecture, infrastructure, quality, security, and delivery frameworks in place while building internal tools and client-facing micro-apps using AI; and by the end of year one, you’ll launch the product to market and govern AI agents company-wide with established guardrails—turning vision into tangible, secure, scalable outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in software engineering, product development, or technical leadership, including meaningful time as a founder, co-founder, or early technical employee at a B2B SaaS company with a track record of shipping production-quality software across architecture, code, infrastructure, and delivery.
- • Demonstrated success managing outsourced or distributed development teams, including vendor selection, quality oversight, and delivery execution, along with hands-on experience standing up and managing cloud infrastructure (CI/CD, monitoring, production operations).
- • Proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as a daily working practice, not just experimental use, combined with strong knowledge of secure software development practices (authentication, authorization, encryption, vulnerability classes) and multi-tenant SaaS architecture design for extensibility and API integration.
