  • • Lavendo Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Sales to lead and expand its revenue-generating team within a rapidly growing data privacy SaaS company. This is a pivotal player-coach leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape the commercial strategy of a company that has already secured Fortune 100 clients and developed patented AI technology for privacy governance. You will inherit a team of experienced Account Executives (AEs) and Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and be tasked with doubling the sales headcount within the next year, making this a high-impact position for an entrepreneurial sales leader.
  • • As the Head of Sales, your primary responsibility will be to own the revenue number and lead the team to achieve and exceed its quota. You will set the benchmark for performance and execution, fostering a culture of high achievement and accountability. This role demands a leader who can inspire, motivate, and guide a team of sales professionals to consistently deliver exceptional results in a competitive market.
  • • A key focus of this role is to drive outbound pipeline generation. The team operates with a proactive, self-sourced pipeline model, and you will champion this culture, ensuring the team is empowered to create its own opportunities rather than relying on inbound leads. This involves developing and refining strategies for prospecting, outreach, and lead qualification, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities.
  • • You will be instrumental in driving enterprise deals, engaging directly with C-suite executives such as CISOs, CPOs, CIOs, and VPs of Security at mid-market and Fortune 1000 companies. This requires a deep understanding of their challenges and the ability to articulate how Lavendo's innovative AI-powered privacy governance platform can address their most pressing needs. You will manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve refining and documenting the sales playbook. This includes defining the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) targeting, optimizing prospecting cadences, crafting compelling messaging, and developing effective objection-handling strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in creating a scalable and repeatable sales process that can support the company's aggressive growth targets.
  • • While leading the team, you will also remain hands-on in strategic opportunities, closing key deals personally. This player-coach approach ensures you stay connected to the front lines of sales, understand market dynamics firsthand, and contribute directly to revenue generation. Your ability to both coach and close will be a critical differentiator.
  • • Cross-functional collaboration will be essential. You will work closely with the Founder/CEO, product management, and marketing teams to refine product positioning, develop impactful sales narratives, and ensure alignment across all go-to-market efforts. This collaborative approach will help sharpen the company's competitive edge.
  • • Accurate forecasting and reporting are vital for strategic decision-making. You will maintain clear pipeline visibility, communicate performance metrics effectively to leadership, and provide insights that inform business strategy. This requires a strong analytical approach to sales data and trends.
  • • As the team scales, you will play a crucial role in hiring and developing talent. This includes actively recruiting top sales professionals, onboarding them effectively, and providing ongoing coaching and development to build a world-class sales organization. Your ability to identify, attract, and retain high-performing individuals will be key to the team's long-term success.
  • • The ideal candidate possesses a low-ego, high-output mentality, comfortable partnering with the CEO while fully owning their results. A hunter's mindset, driven by performance and energized by closing deals in a competitive market, is essential. You should thrive in ambiguity and find satisfaction in building structure and scale within a growing company. Mission alignment with data privacy and understanding regulatory tailwinds (GDPR, CCPA, AI regulation) is highly valued. You will act as a consultative seller, leading with curiosity and insight to guide complex buying decisions, and demonstrate team-first leadership by investing in and celebrating your people.
