📋 Description

• As a Health Coach (1099) at 9am.ai Inc., you will play a vital role in advancing a new standard of care for cardiometabolic health by supporting members managing obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol through personalized, empathetic coaching. Your work directly contributes to improving long-term health outcomes and empowering individuals to take control of their well-being.
• You will provide motivational support and educational communications via Zoom to members managing chronic conditions, using motivational interviewing and evidence-based coaching techniques aligned with NBC-HWC standards to foster sustainable behavior change in nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management.
• You will maintain an up-to-date calendar for member visit scheduling, utilize member data to personalize sessions, and complete accurate documentation of all interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR) to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• You will reinforce nutrition and lifestyle plans developed by 9amHealth’s registered dietitians, tailoring guidance to each member’s unique goals, preferences, and cultural background while escalating concerns when needed to ensure exceptional care delivery.
• You will deliver empathetic, inclusive care that respects the diverse identities, experiences, and backgrounds of all members, acting as a trusted confidante who listens deeply and goes the extra mile to support members in thriving.

🎯 Requirements

• Active NBC-HWC certification is required; candidates must hold a current National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching credential.
• Minimum of 5+ years of direct client care experience in chronic disease coaching, preferably in clinical or telehealth settings focused on diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, or obesity.
• Proven expertise in chronic conditions including diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and high cholesterol, with ability to apply condition-specific knowledge in coaching conversations.
• Comfort and proficiency with digital health tools, including electronic medical records (EMRs) and virtual coaching platforms (Zoom, phone, chat).
• Strong relationship-building skills with a compassionate, personalized communication style grounded in empathy and active listening.
• Self-directed, reliable, and accountable work ethic with the ability to manage independent contractor responsibilities effectively.
• Dedicated private workspace with reliable high-speed internet, webcam-ready computer, and headphones for confidential virtual care delivery.
