• • The Health Information Specialist I role is an entry-level position focused on processing medical record requests (Release of Information) in a timely, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant manner, ensuring patient privacy and data security.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include receiving and processing patient health information requests via phone, maintaining confidentiality, documenting data across multiple platforms using dual monitors, preparing and assembling medical records, creating digital images of paperwork, responding to internal and external record requests, handling faxes and mail, and meeting productivity expectations in a high-volume remote environment.
