📋 Description

  • The Health Navigator role at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee supports members in understanding discharge plans, scheduling follow-up appointments, managing medication changes, and addressing home-based needs as part of the SeniorCare team.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting educational telephone calls, reaching out to members with care gaps, managing work queues, facilitating research on member inquiries, and working overtime as needed.
  • The company is a remote-first organization with a well-established team that fosters innovation and encourages the responsible use of AI-enabled tools to improve member services.
  • In this role, you will develop expertise in healthcare navigation, strengthen communication and organizational skills, and gain experience supporting senior populations within a mission-driven healthcare organization.

🎯 Requirements

  • Associates Degree in education, communication, or health-related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of experience in a customer service support role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with effective time management and problem-solving abilities
