- • The Deputy Project Manager / PMO Support role is a key position within Guidehouse’s Health IT Solutions team, supporting public/federal sector clients in improving technology outcomes through strategic IT initiatives, operational improvements, and technology adoption—particularly in complex, multi-agency EHR implementations.
- • Day to day, the role involves supporting the PMO Lead in executing the TruePMO℠methodology, maintaining integrated master schedules, risk registers, and KPI dashboards; coordinating across clinical, technical, training, testing, and data migration teams; facilitating weekly checkpoints and risk sessions; preparing governance materials; tracking deliverables and dependencies; managing risks and issues; supporting surge staffing and post-go-live transition activities.
- • The team operates within Guidehouse’s Health IT Solutions practice, working with state and federal health organizations to drive measurable improvements in IT operations and technology adoption using data-driven best practices and deep expertise in healthcare IT systems.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in large-scale federal healthcare IT program management, gain hands-on experience with the TruePMO℠methodology, strengthen stakeholder engagement and governance skills in complex multi-agency environments, and advance their career in healthcare technology consulting and PMO leadership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree
- • Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in healthcare IT or public sector programs
- • Proven success supporting large-scale EHR implementations
- • Strong understanding of PMO operations, governance, and stakeholder coordination
- • Experience with integrated master scheduling, risk management, and reporting tools
- • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
