📋 Description

• This is a remote freelance opportunity for expert Hindi > Arabic (Morocco) linguists specializing in subtitling, contributing to Lilt’s mission of making global information accessible through AI-powered, human-verified translation services.
• The role involves translating and subtitling content from Hindi into Moroccan Arabic with high linguistic accuracy, cultural nuance, and technical precision, directly supporting enterprises, governments, and AI developers who rely on Lilt’s translation ecosystem.
• As part of Lilt’s global translator community, you will work on diverse, real-world projects that advance cross-cultural communication while enjoying full autonomy over your schedule and workload.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include: accurately translating Hindi source material into Moroccan Arabic for subtitling applications; adhering strictly to character limits, timing constraints, and subtitle formatting standards; leveraging Lilt’s adaptive NMT system to improve efficiency while maintaining human-quality output; consulting and applying client-specific terminology bases, style guides, and reference materials; performing self-reviews to ensure consistency, readability, and cultural appropriateness; collaborating asynchronously with Lilt’s project managers and quality assurance teams via the platform; staying updated on evolving subtitling best practices and linguistic conventions in both Hindi and Moroccan Arabic; and contributing feedback to help refine Lilt’s AI models through post-editing corrections.

🎯 Requirements

• Native proficiency in Arabic (Morocco) with demonstrable linguistic and cultural fluency
• Proven experience in Hindi > Arabic (Morocco) subtitling, including adherence to industry-standard timing, spacing, and formatting conventions
• Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience or a recognized degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field
• Strong ability to follow terminology guides, reference materials, and client-specific instructions with precision
• Familiarity with subtitling software or CAT tools is advantageous; experience with Lilt’s platform is a plus but not required
• Excellent attention to detail, self-management skills, and commitment to delivering high-quality work on schedule
