- • Serve as an application expert for the Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS), providing direct support to site personnel on system operations and functionality.
- • Process, control, and coordinate documentation for the movement, storage, shipment, and issue of hazardous materials and waste in compliance with site regulations.
- • Perform data cleanup and conversion tasks associated with HMMS software updates and releases to ensure system accuracy and integrity.
- • Verify that incoming hazardous materials match accompanying documentation and are correctly entered into the HMMS database.
- • Assist HazMat Cell and Receiving Center staff with inventory reconciliation and data validation within HMMS.
- • Review and validate Local Purchase Requests, Purchase Card Requests, Form 3952 (Material Authorization Request), and Order Requests prior to approval.
- • Utilize Adhoc reporting tools to generate inventory reports and data extracts as requested by site personnel.
- • Operate HMMS-related peripherals including label printers, portable data collection devices (PDAs), barcode scanners, scales, and workstations.
- • Support system administrators and database operators in validating and executing HMMS data backup routines to ensure data security and continuity.
- • Maintain accurate recording and filing of documents in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
- • Conduct research and troubleshooting related to HMMS functions, system limitations, and data discrepancies.
- • Maintain knowledge of the site’s local supply ordering systems to reconcile HMMS data with internal procurement processes.
- • Participate in required training programs including HMMS Administration, Issue Point/Receiving Training, Waste Generators/Managers, Worker Right to Know, Sphera Corporate Training, and government-mandated courses.
- • Perform warehouse duties as needed, including lifting and handling materials up to 50 pounds.
- • Travel may be required to support on-site operations at government or contractor facilities.
- • Work in a hybrid environment combining office and warehouse settings, adhering to all safety and compliance protocols.
- • Perform additional duties as assigned by the site Point of Contact or management to support HMMS program objectives.
