- • As a Hospital Manager at Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Port St. Lucie, FL, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional emergency veterinary care, embodying VEG's mission to help people and their pets during their most critical moments. This role is pivotal in shaping the operational excellence, financial health, and vibrant culture of your hospital, ensuring it stands as a beacon of compassionate and advanced emergency medicine within the community.
- • You will lead with a profound sense of ownership, empowered to innovate and refine processes within the established VEG framework. Your primary responsibility is to cultivate an environment where every team member, or 'VEGgie,' feels valued, supported, and inspired to perform at their best. This involves actively recruiting, hiring, and onboarding top talent, and then dedicating yourself to their continuous professional development through mentorship, training, and providing opportunities for growth.
- • A core aspect of your role is ensuring that your hospital delivers a consistently mind-blowing experience for patients, their owners, and your VEGgies. This means fostering a culture of empathy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service, where every interaction is handled with the utmost care and professionalism. You will be responsible for the overall operational integrity of the hospital, ensuring it is compliant with all regulations, impeccably maintained, and functions with seamless efficiency.
- • Driving financial performance is critical. You will oversee the hospital's revenue and margins, working to achieve ambitious financial targets while challenging industry norms. This includes meticulous financial management, budgeting, payroll oversight, and accounts receivable, all while maintaining a focus on growth and profitability.
- • You will play a key role in elevating VEG's local and industry-wide reputation. This involves building strong, collaborative relationships with referring veterinarians and local businesses, positioning VEG as the premier choice for emergency pet care. Your efforts in marketing, community engagement, and maintaining a strong online presence will be instrumental in this growth.
- • The Hospital Manager is a hands-on leadership position. You will be a constant, visible presence within the hospital, actively engaging with your team, understanding their needs, and providing the necessary tools, support, and autonomy for them to excel. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging and pride.
- • You will be instrumental in implementing VEG's innovative, open-concept hospital model, which allows for the handling of a wide range of emergency cases, including exotics. This environment encourages collaboration and transparency, enabling your team to learn and grow from diverse and challenging cases.
- • Your leadership will directly impact the hospital's ability to adapt and thrive in the dynamic field of emergency veterinary medicine. By championing VEG's values and operational strategies, you will ensure your hospital not only meets but exceeds expectations, solidifying its position as a leader in compassionate, high-quality emergency care.
- • This role requires a leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, who understands the importance of team cohesion, and who is driven by a passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of pets and their owners. You will be the champion of VEG's culture, ensuring it permeates every aspect of the hospital's operations and interactions.
- • Ultimately, as a Hospital Manager, you are the architect of your hospital's success, responsible for its people, its performance, and its reputation. You will be empowered to make decisions, drive change, and create an unparalleled experience for everyone who walks through your doors, embodying the VEG spirit of innovation and unwavering commitment to care.
