  • • As a strategic People Business Partner at Miro, you will be an integral part of our global People Business Partner team, a dynamic force dedicated to empowering leaders to cultivate high-performing, inclusive teams. Your role will be pivotal in connecting people insights directly to our business priorities, thereby driving growth, fostering engagement, and ensuring organizational success across the JAPAC region.
  • • You will serve as a trusted advisor, offering comprehensive support and guidance to leaders and employees within the Go-To-Market (GTM) organizations you oversee. This partnership is crucial for aligning people strategies with business objectives, ensuring that our talent initiatives directly contribute to achieving our ambitious goals.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve executing a range of global and local People programs and processes. This includes, but is not limited to, talent management strategies, organizational planning, performance management cycles, individual development planning, compensation reviews, and seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences for our team members.
  • • You will leverage data and analytics to provide business leaders with actionable insights into the health of their client organizations. This involves assessing critical trends in performance, span of control, employee engagement scores, manager feedback, and attrition/turnover rates, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • • Collaboration is at the heart of Miro's culture, and you will actively partner with various stakeholders. This includes working closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) within the People team, cross-functional partners, and your fellow HR Business Partners to co-create and implement world-class people initiatives that benefit the entire organization.
  • • You will act as a coach and influencer for managers, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to build and nurture exceptional teams. This involves fostering a culture of continuous feedback, development, and high performance.
  • • You will take ownership of and drive critical GTM-wide people projects. This requires a proactive approach to identifying needs, developing solutions, and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with broader business strategies.
  • • A significant part of your contribution will be enabling leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will translate complex people data into clear, concise recommendations that support strategic business choices.
  • • You will serve as a key liaison to the Employee Relations Team, providing essential support and guidance on any regional-specific investigations and termination processes, ensuring they are handled with sensitivity, fairness, and compliance.
  • • As a subject matter expert for JAPAC labor laws, you will play a crucial role in defining global-to-local processes, policies, and programs. This includes recommending and implementing necessary local people initiatives and training your colleagues on regional compliance topics, in close partnership with Miro’s employment counsel team.
  • • You will ensure compliance across Australia, Japan, and Singapore by managing compliance reporting, government filings, and workers' compensation matters. Regular audits will be conducted to guarantee adherence to all regulatory requirements, in cooperation with the legal team.
  • • You will collaborate with the Tokyo workplace team to ensure compliance with physical employee records and manage the receipt of physical mail related to HR and benefits, maintaining operational continuity.
  • • You will handle escalated and time-sensitive support queries for the JAPAC region originating from Miro’s People Help Portal, ensuring prompt and effective resolution for our employees.
  • • Close collaboration with the Payroll Team is essential to ensure accurate and timely processing of JAPAC payroll inputs, maintaining the integrity of our compensation systems.
  • • You will actively support the administration and communication of benefits programs within the region, ensuring our employees understand and can leverage their benefits effectively.
  • • A forward-thinking approach is encouraged as you actively seek opportunities to enhance People processes and practices, exploring the potential of AI and technology to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • • For candidates with Japanese proficiency, you will provide essential Japanese translation support for employee-related matters, including government filings, benefit contracts, and various documentation, bridging language barriers and ensuring clarity.
  • • You will contribute to building a diverse and inclusive workforce on a global scale, understanding and championing the importance of equitable practices in all people-related initiatives.
  • • You will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, connecting disparate pieces of information to form a cohesive understanding, and making sound decisions, knowing when to seek guidance from others.
  • • A strong bias for action, an unwavering work ethic, and a relentless pursuit of excellence will be key to your success in this role.
  • • You will possess strong business acumen, enjoying the strategic and operational aspects of business, understanding how talent management directly impacts organizational success, and approaching problem-solving from a business-first perspective.
  • • Excellent organizational skills are required to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines effectively.
  • • You will be a key player in driving change management initiatives, helping to adapt the culture and improve the overall effectiveness of the business and its teams.
  • • You will be comfortable working with data, using it to provide insights, and leveraging these insights to advise and influence business decisions at all levels.
