- • As the HR Legal & Employee Relations Manager at Scaleway SAS, you will serve as the strategic right hand to the CHRO, ensuring legal compliance and operational excellence across all European Availability Zones while driving the company’s international expansion through expert management of employment law, social relations, and cross-border HR initiatives.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include piloting HR implementation for new country openings by conducting local benchmarks, drafting compliant employment contracts, and ensuring adherence to social protection regulations; coordinating and challenging external legal counsel and payroll providers across European regions to optimize cost and compliance; managing international mobility files such as secondments, expatriation, and cross-border recruitment; acting as the lead internal expert for management on employment law matters including contracts, working hours, disciplinary actions, and terminations; overseeing pre-litigation and litigation cases in direct collaboration with specialized law firms; maintaining a continuous legal watch on evolving French and European legislation to ensure ongoing compliance; preparing and co-animating meetings with Employee Representative Bodies (CSE) and social committees; defining strategy and leading negotiations for collective company agreements; and advising leadership on social climate to foster constructive dialogue with social partners.

- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in multi-jurisdictional European employment law, strengthen your strategic influence as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, and gain hands-on experience shaping collective bargaining strategies and social dialogue in a high-growth tech environment — positioning you for advanced leadership roles within Scaleway or the broader Iliad Group.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master 2 (Level 2) degree in Social Law or Human Resources
- • 5-7 years of proven experience in a similar HR legal or employee relations role, preferably in a law firm or international multi-site environment
- • Demonstrated expertise in managing social relations, collective bargaining, and employee representative bodies across multiple European jurisdictions
- • Full professional fluency in English for daily interaction with international teams and foreign legal counsel
- • Strong strategic anticipation skills with the ability to plan 6–12 months ahead on legal and social files
- • Business partner mindset: ability to translate legal complexity into actionable business solutions that support decision-making
