- ⢠As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for the EMEA region at Billups, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing our most valuable asset: our people. - ⢠Your primary focus will be to partner closely with leadership across the EMEA region to deeply understand business needs and translate them into actionable HR strategies. You will be instrumental in implementing best practices, streamlining HR processes, and ensuring our people infrastructure is robust and scalable to support Billups' continued growth. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to drive impactful change, making you a key contributor to our success.
- ⢠Reporting directly to the EMEA HR Director based in the Netherlands, you will collaborate extensively with the Payroll & Benefits Manager in Spain, the HR Coordinator in Serbia, and the broader People Operations team in the US. This international collaboration fosters a supportive, professional, and highly collaborative team environment where your innovative ideas will be actively valued and encouraged. You will be empowered to take initiative and lead projects that directly influence the employee journey and organizational effectiveness.
- ⢠**Core Role Duties - Driving Employee Engagement:**
- ⢠Develop, implement, and champion innovative initiatives designed to boost employee engagement and overall satisfaction across the EMEA region. This includes collaborating with the EMEA HR Director and cross-functional teams to design and execute employee surveys, meticulously analyze the results, and partner with management to address identified concerns and opportunities for improvement.
- ⢠Actively foster a positive, inclusive, and vibrant workplace culture that is intrinsically aligned with Billups' core values and strategic objectives. You will be encouraged to conceptualize and initiate creative, engaging activities and programs that strengthen team connections and camaraderie, especially within our remote-first setting.
- ⢠**Core Role Duties - Navigating Employee Relations:**
- ⢠Proactively manage and expertly navigate all employee relations issues, including the thorough handling of grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- ⢠Maintain a steadfast commitment to compliance, ensuring all HR practices adhere strictly to UK and broader EMEA employment laws and regulations. You will act as a key resource for understanding and applying these legal frameworks.
- ⢠Facilitate open and effective communication channels between management and employees, promoting a culture of constructive feedback, mutual respect, and understanding.
- ⢠**Core Role Duties - Championing Performance and Development:**
- ⢠Partner with employees and managers to collaboratively identify individual areas for professional development and career growth, creating personalized plans for advancement.
- ⢠Work closely with Learning & Development resources to enhance employee skills, competencies, and overall professional capabilities through targeted training and development programs.
- ⢠Provide targeted, high-impact developmental coaching to leaders, empowering them to strengthen their leadership effectiveness, confidence, and ability to inspire their teams.
- ⢠Collaborate with managers to help architect clear career development paths, identify critical training needs, and contribute to succession planning efforts.
- ⢠Support the entire performance review cycle, engaging proactively with managers and employees to ensure the delivery and reception of effective, constructive feedback.
- ⢠Implement and refine performance management initiatives that are directly aligned with the company's overarching strategic goals and objectives.
- ⢠**Core Role Duties - Optimizing Onboarding and Offboarding:**
- ⢠Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive onboarding programs that are specifically tailored to excel within our remote-first culture, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for new hires.
- ⢠In close collaboration with the HR Coordinator, meticulously manage the offboarding process, including conducting insightful exit interviews to gather valuable feedback.
- ⢠Work directly with leadership to highlight key areas for improvement derived from exit interview data and other feedback mechanisms.
- ⢠**Core Role Duties - Ensuring Compliance and Documentation:**
- ⢠Oversee and manage all employment agreements and related documentation for the EMEA region, ensuring the meticulous accuracy and up-to-date status of HR databases.
- ⢠Manage the complexities of employee work authorization and visa processes across the diverse EMEA region.
- ⢠Maintain and update Employee Handbooks, serving as the primary expert resource for employees seeking guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- ⢠Develop, document, and implement specific people processes to guarantee consistent compliance across all EMEA operations.
- ⢠Ensure all HR policies and practices are fully compliant with current employment laws and regulations, acting as a guardian of legal adherence.
- ⢠Collaborate closely with the Payroll & Benefits Manager on all EMEA payroll and benefits-related matters, ensuring smooth and accurate administration.
- ⢠Proactively manage employment law risks, encompassing health and safety, data protection (GDPR), and equality legislation.
- ⢠Stay abreast of all legal changes and developments within the EMEA region and provide timely, expert advice to the business on necessary adjustments to HR policies and practices.
- ⢠**Core Role Duties - Facilitating Change Management:**
- ⢠Provide robust support for significant organizational change initiatives, including mergers, restructures, and cultural transformation projects.
- ⢠Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to ensure employees are well-informed, understand the rationale behind, and actively engage with change initiatives.
- ⢠Work closely with managers to effectively manage the human impact of change, proactively addressing employee concerns and providing necessary support throughout transitions.
- ⢠Assist in the execution of other special projects or larger cross-functional initiatives as assigned, contributing your HR expertise to broader business objectives.
