📋 Description

• As an Implementation Manager at Numeral SAS, you will serve as the primary point of contact for new clients, guiding them from contract signing through full go-live on the company’s sales tax compliance automation platform. This role is critical to ensuring that e-commerce businesses can transition smoothly onto Numeral’s system with zero errors, enabling them to focus on growth rather than administrative burdens. You will own the end-to-end onboarding journey for a high-volume book of business, directly impacting customer success, retention, and the company’s ability to scale its white-glove service in a hyper-growth environment.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the launch process for new merchants by managing timelines, coordinating data transfers, overseeing tax registration workflows, and ensuring platform configuration aligns with each client’s unique nexus and transactional footprint. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex tax and technical concepts — such as economic nexus thresholds or API integration requirements — into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical founders and finance teams. You will obsess over reducing Time-to-Value by identifying process bottlenecks, collaborating with Product and Engineering to implement fixes, and driving continuous improvement in onboarding velocity. Additionally, you will build scalable assets such as help center articles, internal playbooks, and configuration templates that preserve Numeral’s high-touch service while enabling operational scale. When technical issues arise — whether in data imports, mapping errors, or sync failures — you will troubleshoot root causes, work with engineering to resolve them, and ensure financial data flows accurately and completely into the platform.
• You will join a small but mighty team of alumni from Stripe, Airbnb, Notion, and other breakout companies, all united by a shared commitment to craft, speed, and reinventing outdated financial infrastructure. Numeral is backed by Benchmark Capital and emerged from Y Combinator’s W23 batch, positioning it at the forefront of automating sales tax compliance for internet commerce. The company’s mission is to eliminate the administrative distractions that pull founders away from building their products and serving customers — and as an early hire, your contributions will directly shape the trajectory of the business. • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in sales tax compliance, SaaS onboarding dynamics, and cross-functional collaboration between customer-facing and technical teams. Success here means not only launching clients accurately and on time but also creating repeatable, scalable systems that allow Numeral to maintain its white-glove standard as it grows. 🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Implementation, Onboarding, Customer Success, or Operations, with startup experience considered a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage 20+ active implementations simultaneously with high operational rigor, ensuring no details are missed and timelines are consistently met.
• Strong technical empathy — the ability to explain complex concepts like tax nexus, data mapping, or API integrations clearly and patiently to non-technical stakeholders such as founders and finance teams.
