  • • The Implementation Project Manager at Strayer University, Inc. plays a critical role in driving the successful launch of corporate and educational partnership initiatives within the Enterprise Partnerships division (ETS), ensuring that projects move smoothly from contract signature to full operational deployment while aligning with strategic business goals and client expectations.
  • • This role is essential for translating complex client needs into actionable project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering seamless implementations that enhance partner satisfaction and support Strayer’s mission of expanding access to education through innovative technology solutions.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading all phases of client and educational partnership implementations, overseeing platform configurations, integrations, and deliverables required for a successful launch, and serving as the central point of coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • • The Implementation PM works closely with departments, stakeholders, customers, and account managers to define project goals, requirements, scope, and timelines, ensuring alignment and clarity before execution begins.
  • • Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients and project teams is a core focus, with an emphasis on verifying shared understanding of outcomes, timelines, and success criteria throughout the project lifecycle.
  • • Managing the granular details of each project—including project plans, schedules, resource allocation, task assignments, scope tracking, issue identification, and risk mitigation—is essential to keeping initiatives on schedule and within budget.
  • • The role involves tracking progress across all development activities, facilitating focused and productive project meetings, and briefing teams on status updates, problem resolution, and feedback to ensure transparency and continuous alignment.
  • • Adherence to established project methodology is required, including rigorous documentation practices such as maintaining working papers, status reports, meeting minutes, issue logs, and other administrative records to support auditability and knowledge transfer.
  • • Acting as a business analyst, the Implementation PM translates customer and WFE (Workforce Education) requirements into specific system configurations and deliverables, bridging the gap between client needs and technical execution.
  • • Developing and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans is a key duty, guiding customers through testing phases with a focus on achieving formal acceptance and confidence in the solution.
  • • The role includes soliciting feedback from clients and project teams to drive continuous improvement in WFE implementation and integration workflows, employing techniques such as value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and DACI decision-making to refine processes.
  • • Evaluating trends in project risks, issues, and blockers across multiple WFE Implementation projects enables the PM to inform program-level changes and process improvements that mitigate recurring challenges.
  • • Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey complex or sensitive information tactfully and professionally to clients and internal stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • • Strong influencing and conflict navigation abilities are vital, enabling the PM to manage disagreements constructively and drive consensus among diverse parties.
  • • Excellent organizational skills, process orientation, and systems thinking are necessary to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability.
  • • Interpersonal effectiveness is crucial for managing varied relationships across internal teams, external partners, and leadership, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the engagement.
  • • Proficiency with a range of tools, software, and processes—including advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite and Visio—is expected to support planning, documentation, and analysis tasks.
  • • The role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, including deepening expertise in project management methodologies, business analysis, client relationship management, and educational technology implementations.
  • • Over time, the Implementation PM can develop strategic influence by shaping implementation best practices, contributing to process standardization, and positioning themselves as a trusted advisor in enterprise partnership initiatives.

  • • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Visio for creating diagrams, reports, and project documentation.
  • • 1-2 years of business analysis experience is desired, particularly in translating client requirements into technical specifications or system configurations.
