Supabase is seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Observability for the APAC region to join our globally distributed, open-source-first team. This role is critical in shaping and maintaining the backbone of our observability systems, ensuring our internal teams and external customers have the insights they need, when they need them.
• • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in defining and implementing org-wide practices for telemetry data. This involves deep collaboration with our infrastructure and product teams to establish robust methods for emitting and collecting logs, metrics, and traces across a diverse range of services. Your contributions will extend to developing comprehensive documentation, championing best practices, and actively enforcing standards to foster a culture of observability excellence throughout the organization. You will be a key advocate for how we instrument our systems, ensuring consistency and quality in how we gather critical operational data.
• • As the owner and operator of the observability team's Kubernetes infrastructure, you will be at the forefront of ensuring its stability and scalability. This responsibility includes defining clear documentation, streamlining operational workflows, and establishing rigorous engineering standards. Your work will directly impact the high uptime of our logging, tracing, and metrics systems, which are indispensable tools for both our internal developers and our rapidly growing customer base. You will be responsible for the health and performance of the systems that provide visibility into Supabase's own complex infrastructure.
• • Working closely within the Observability team, you will champion and implement industry-standard deployment and reliability practices. Your mandate will be to develop and maintain industry-leading reliability software, ensuring that our observability systems are exceptionally resilient and never experience downtime for our customers.
