- • Design and build ingestion pipelines that pull data from third-party PMS systems into Nelly's core data model.
- • Own backend services in TypeScript/Node.js on AWS, ensuring they are event-driven, idempotent, and observable.
- • Evolve the canonical data model that every product team at Nelly relies on for feature development and AI tooling.
- • Build and maintain MCP servers and AI tooling that expose Core Data to internal agents and LLM-powered workflows, shaping how AI is deployed across the company.
- • Partner with product teams to triage and resolve data ingestion issues based on business impact and priority.
- • Work within a data-centric team that serves as the central data platform (MCP) for the entire organization, providing clean, reliable data to product and AI teams.
- • Contribute to the development of scalable, production-grade backend systems handling healthcare and fintech data at scale.
- • Collaborate across engineering and product functions to ensure data integrity, schema evolution, and system reliability across multiple integrations.
- • Implement robust data pipelines with attention to queues, retries, idempotency, and schema evolution for third-party system integrations.
- • Operate in a hybrid work environment with a physical office located in the heart of Berlin.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of backend-leaning experience with strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js.
- • Deep experience designing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and third-party integrations with focus on queues, retries, idempotency, and schema evolution.
- • Proven track record in data and API modeling, including designing schemas that have survived multiple product pivots.
- • Hands-on production experience with AWS.
- • Bonus: Experience with healthcare or fintech data, event sourcing, or MCP/LLM tooling.
