Infrastructure Finance Lead

📋 Description

• • The Infrastructure Finance Lead at Baseten Inc. will own the operating P&L for the company's compute infrastructure, serving as a key financial partner to Infra, Capacity Planning, and Inference Engineering teams to ensure budget adherence, drive down unit costs, and de-risk major infrastructure exposures.
• • Day to day, the role involves building and maintaining per-region and per-partner cost forecasts, running budget-vs-actual analyses against contracted capacity, leading financial analysis for capacity-mix decisions and multi-region buildouts, and partnering with Infra and BD leads on deal-to-operations handoffs to ensure budgets are operationalized and tracked through contract term.
• • Baseten powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies such as Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer, uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling to enable cutting-edge models in production, backed by a $300M Series E from top-tier investors including BOND, IVP, Spark Capital, Greylock, and Conviction.
• • The person in this role will develop deep expertise in infrastructure finance at the intersection of AI and compute supply chains, build analytical frameworks for gross margin and COGS attribution, and gain exposure to high-growth AI startups while shaping financial strategy for critical infrastructure investments.
