  • • The Inside Sales Representative at John Wiley & Sons, Inc. plays a critical role in expanding access to innovative digital learning tools by identifying, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities in Computer Science and Engineering departments at small colleges and universities across the USA. This role directly contributes to zyBooks’ mission of transforming education through interactive, online courseware that replaces traditional textbooks and lab assignments, impacting over 1.1 million students nationwide.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting live outreach via phone, email, voicemail, and virtual meetings to prospective and existing customers; accurately logging all activities in Salesforce; leveraging existing relationships to grow business; using referral selling and data-informed strategies to generate new opportunities; collaborating with the Inside Sales/Market Development team to build strategic plans; and consistently meeting or exceeding biannual territory sales quotas.
  • • The role sits within Wiley’s zyBooks division, a professor-founded innovator in digital education that partners with over 1,200 universities to improve student outcomes in STEM fields. The team is mission-driven, collaborative, and focused on scaling impact through technology-enabled learning solutions. 🎯 Requirements

  • • BA/BS Degree or equivalent
  • • Strong sense of teamwork and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • • Demonstrated expertise in active listening and establishing rapport over phone conversations
  • • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • • Solutions-based problem solver, adaptable, and strategic mindset
  • • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • • Proficiency with business applications including Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, CRM (Salesforce preferred), and Zoom
  • • Some inside sales or account management experience preferred
